Ach, is that so?!

Gae bring to me a pint o' wine
And fill it in a silver tassie,
That I may drink before I go
A service to my bonnie lassie.
The boat rocks at the pier o' Leith,
Fu' loud the wind blaws frae the ferry,
The ship rides by the Berwick law,
And I maun leave my bonnie Mary.

That may well be, but you'll nee catch me in one, lassie!

(I am Irish, after all, and not a Scotsman.)

:D

Not a true Scotsman, anyway...

I haven't any Scotsman in me, but I'm nearly all Irish. All my ancestors hail from Contae Dhún na nGall (County Donegal for all you non-Irish speakers).

My blood runs thick with Guinness.

Same here, my father's people are from the Loch Neagh area.

We are to be a light in the darkness.

That means be a witness to the gospel to those that don't know it. Lest you think Paul contradicts himself when says what he said in my sig, that some peoples mouths must be stopped.

I cannot like, more than superficially, those I do not know; and I can only truly know those in Christ whom Christ knows. 1Jo 3:6.

And I love you for that! My ancestors hailed from County Fermanaugh in the north and filled with mystery.

My blood runs thick with Guinness.

A true man of discriminating taste. The best there is.

BTW, the Irish invented both kilts and the "Scottish" bagpipe, both which, I'm told, were actually practical jokes played on the Scots, who never caught on.
