The May race is already past the half and it's all God's Truth, raging out of the gate and carrying the field at dizzying pace (14) through the first turn. A game stripe is two lengths off the lead (12) while a couple of nags are vying for a distant third, with glory and PJ neck and neck ten lengths off the lead (4) and genorg and GM one length back (3) and still in position to challenge for a chance to place.

Sorry about the delay. It was a thunderous rally in the home stretch, with a game Stripe unable to overtake GT, who made the wire a length ahead (17). Stripe took second by a larger margin (16) some five lengths ahead of PJ, who managed to pull ahead of the neck and neck with Angel and GM, with gen org fading down the stretch.

May flowers are a garland around the neck and nag of Stripe. Congrats! :first:

June is starting with a strong field, but an early surge has pj out in front of perennial favorite Stripe by three lengths (10) as the nags thunder out of the first turn. Stripe is looking over his shoulder at GT, who sits two lengths back, in third place (5). Rusha leads the rest of the field (4) with SObG trailing by a length (3) and a straggling field else.

Down the home stretch and across the finish line in a contest that saw PJ's early thundering almost fail at the end to the steady hoofbeats of Stripe, it's still all Patrick Jane (17) at the finish line, coasting across it with a good four lengths on Stripe (13) with Musterion (10) taking third comfortably in front of Angel (7) and Rusha (6).

Congrats to Patrick Jane, the fastest nag in June! :first:

July is off to a slow start with small but dedicated field. Down the first stretch and into the turn it's GM and glory neck and neck (4) with a new horse ridden by Interplanner hot on their heels (3). They're closely followed by a number of jockeys: Angel, musterion, gen org, IMJ with several horses just milling at the gate (AMR, Rusha, DR and Stripe).

Things are bound to pick up by the back stretch, so stay tuned.

We're entering the backstretch now and GM (7) has pulled into the lead while glory (4) falls back into third, being overtaken by a surging Interplanner (6). Must and IMJ (3) are neck and neck to lead the trailing pack but well off the lead.

No frills for July, just a plain tape tale:

At the wire it was GM going away (17), with Interplanner a distant second (7) and Stripe hot on his heals and closing too late to overcome the lead, settling in at third. A straggly field followed.

Congrats GM :first:

Race Day Final for August :singer:

In a race that started weekly :)eek:) but ended well...

Out of the starting gate it was all GM, with stripe a distant challenge for second and Bel57 edging out Angel for third, with a straggly field bringing up the rear. Things held until the final stretch, when a suddenly surging Angel took Bel57 on the inside, gaining on Stripe who was pulling close to a failing GM as the three pulled away from the field and thundered to the line, Angel and Stipe neck and neck and gaining on GM who held on at the last to win the month, with Angel and Stripe too close to call for second and third vacated by their lockstep.

That was some race. :D

August belongs to the victor, GM. Congrats! :first:

Race Final For September :singer:

One of he most active races in recent memory, with no fewer than 40 nags running the course.

But for all the thundering, dirt raising excitement, this one was a race for second and third from the start, as Angel led then nearly lapped the field, crossing the tape ten full lengths ahead of her closest competition (21). In second and running strongly on the outside came GM (13) followed by a game PJ (11) two lengths behind and a raucous field trailing, with glorydaze not far back (8), Danoh and musterion behind her (7) and ten more one or two back of that.

One heck of a month at the track. Congrats, Angel! September belongs to you. :first:

... I've found it makes people aware of who is doing what in that particular and information is always power of a sort, even if it's sometimes mostly the power to change our own tendencies or examine the root of them...

so you're expecting angel to change her tendencies or to examine the root of them?

Out of the gate it was all PJ in a fury of hoof beats, glory, Neopat and Angel on his heels. Then a late surge by Angel has her neck and neck heading through the first turn (10) while glory settles four lengths back, in second (6), holding a lead over a fading Neopat (4) who remains barely ahead of a contentious field, including Lon, Free, Stripe and Beloved57.

Just past the halfway point and PJ (14) has retaken the lead holding Angel to second by a length (13) glory is settling back into third (7) with no clear challengers in site. A strong but distant pack of Neopat, must, Lon, Right D, GM and ok in a knot.
