Another Gospel than the one the Risen Lord had revealed to Him. Stop trying to corrupt the word of God.

How does that make sense to you to say Paul says believe me and my different gospel than the one the Lord gave, but don't ever believe me if I come up with yet another one.

That is outrageous.

She was his sister.

Which is so typical of you law keepers. Let's see if we can find a way around the law, and just pretend like we keep it.

A half truth is a full lie. Apparently God didn't find it amusing.

Gen. 20:2-3 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah. 3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.

A LIE is an attempt to DECEIVE. You law keepers provide us with a laugh a minute.

I am telling you what the Bible says and you don't know the scriptures enough.

Genesis 20:11 Abraham said, "Because I thought, surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife. 12 "Besides, she actually is my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother, and she became my wife; 13 and it came about, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said to her, 'This is the kindness which you will show to me: everywhere we go, say of me, "He is my brother."'"…

Yeah, horrible me. I "accuse" Paul of doing exactly what the Lord told him to do. Which was to preach the GOSPEL OF GRACE to the Gentiles. He wasn't sent to preach the Gospel of the KINGDOM. That had already been preached to the Jews and they rejected it.

Paul preached the same gospel that Jesus preached.

Paul even preached it to the Jews until they wanted to kill him because the Jews thought he was just trying to trick them into saying they believe in Jesus so that he could throw them in jail and have them put to death.

Jesus taught "keep the law."

Paul taught "if you keep the law you're cursed."

Does that sound like the same gospel to you?

I quoted from the same chapter, but you ignored what I said in favor of Abraham making excuses for his lack of faith and trust in God.

Lying by omission.....oops, I forgot she is my wife.

I'm not surprised you approve of what Abraham did. He cared more about his life than he did about the retribution that might come upon others because of his deceit. He certainly didn't consider the risk to his wife...that she would be taken by another man. Fortunately for Abraham, it wasn't his works or deeds that he had to rely on. He was justified by faith....even when his own trust in God wavered.

Paul was explaining that if you try to JUSTIFY yourself before God by let's say getting circumcised---then you are cursed and have to obey the WHOLE LAW.

What don't you get that we have to obey but we do NOT JUSTIFY ourselves anymore with the ceremonial works.

You should be very careful about judging a chosen of God's. Look what happened when someone judged Moses and David.

As for you keep ignoring the scriptures that show faith alone is dead and Abraham had faith with obedience...so sad that there is such a hold on you to not see it.

OH, like all these "ceremonial works". :chuckle:

Deut. 27:20-26 Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen. 21 Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen. 22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. 23 Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen. 24 Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen. 25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen. 26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Must be those "ceremonial works" are what Paul is speaking of here, too.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus doesn't tell everyone to give everything away. Who would they give to then? What would the person to whom one is giving it do? You can't see that you speak from ignorance.

But gt, you vociferously say that you, gt, obey ALL of Jesus' commandments.

Like this:
I, gt, follow all of Jesus teachings, exactly as he says…..Faith is obeying everything that Jesus says....I, gt, obey everything Jesus says....[/B]"

Do you, gt, OBEY ALL of Jesus' commandments or do you, gt, NOT OBEY ALL of Jesus' commandments?
You, gt, should make up your mind.
It is not good to be of a double mind.

Jesus doesn't command everyone to give everything away.

You don't obey anything Jesus says because you didn't want to give everything away?

Is that why you preach we are not to obey what Jesus says when he walked the earth?

You don't obey anything Jesus says because you didn't want to give everything away?

You, gt, are the only one who says that you OBEY ALL of Jesus' commandments and then when asked gives these nonsensical answers.

Is that why you preach we are not to obey what Jesus says when he walked the earth?

You, gt, have never and I repeat never OBEYED ALL of Jesus' commandments; however, you, gt, say: I, gt, follow all of Jesus teachings, exactly as he says…..Faith is obeying everything that Jesus says....I, gt, obey everything Jesus says....[/B]"

Have you repented of boasting that you obey all of Jesus' commandments when you once and again say that you cannot?

Abraham was told to wait for the promised son, or did I miss something?

By adding something you may have also missed something.

Abraham should have never gone to Hagar.
He was given a promise.
He was told to wait for the promise and he didn't, therefore, he was DISobedient.

Here is the promise...

Genesis 15 King James Version (KJV)

1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

2 And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

4 And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Where in the above was he told to wait?
