I will go a step further on this... Jesus calls Himself the "Light of the world". This is a direct binding to a profession that He is the first Life to "exist" within creation.
So many miss that God alone could be the FIRST to exist within creation. By Jesus binding HIMSELF to Gen. 1:3 ... He isn't saying that He was "Created at Creation" ... but that He is the GREAT I AM THAT I AM. Or... to get more to the point... that Jesus is the very SOURCE of ALL LIGHT that sustains LIFE ... Truth and all that is physical and (forgive the word)... Metaphysical... or (Beyond physical comprehension).
All that could be illuminated... only has ONE SOURCE of SPIRITUAL ILLUMINATION. To claim that Jesus is anything other than the I AM is to behold a "false" illumination.
Hence the deep connection between my screen name and Mt. 6:22

A thinking person, how refreshing.
There had to be the Father before there was a Son.

The Holy Spirit comes from the Father.[/QUOTE]Why must he have come into existence?
The Bible clearly states that He is God, and it clearly states that God has always existed. Why must the Son have been created or come into existence? What verse says that?
God is indeed outside of time and simultaneously inside of time as well. Nothing can bind God, but God can "choose" to bind to time.
Are you now arguing that God cannot "choose"?
No, what I am seeking is the true meaning of eternity, when did it begin?
I do not argue with God but I do with man's assumptions of God's words.

Eternity is a measurement of time. (All time)
Like Infinity, they are measurements.
Most likely time only pertains to the Universe. We know that there is movement in the Universe. But....what about the Spirit world????

So God is "incapable" of being Father and Son ONE? Could you kindly rank the importance of your Body... Soul and Spirit?
I'll give it a shot.
1) Spirit - most importanto
2) Soul - Second most importanto
3) Body - third most importanto
Wait... if my "Spirit" returns to God... I'm dead. If my Soul "Dies"... I cease to exist. If my body is killed... my "witness" is no more... on this plane of existence.
Hmmmm... Let me do that again.
1) Spirit, Soul and Body are equally important. Yup :thumb:
Why can't God Have all 3 and be 1?
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
1. Soul
2. Spirit
3. Body
Fear him who can destroy the Soul. All souls are mine say the LORD.

Keypurr... I'm going to do something you probably don't expect. I'm going to admit that I like you. ToL would be a darker place without you. I have always enjoyed reading your posts and being a holy terror in return.
You used the word "seeking".
I also sense that you have a highly philosophical mind.
I would like to discuss this with you and see if we can hammer it out with our "finite" reasoning. I'll go metaphysical on the matter and bring the philosophical in too.
I'll start with the question I asked myself... when I was an atheist...
Can a train track that goes infinite directions... both ways ever bring a "destination" forth... if the beginning of the train track would have to be the initial "starting point"?
And to add to the question... with a question to prime reasoning... does "negative infinity" have a "beginning"?
I do not consider myself an educated person just a guy who loves to ask questions and find the answers. EE your not the big bad wolf that some say you are.

Let's jump to the big question here... Did God have a beginning?
I'll give my answer first... "No"
Let's jump to the next question... would the "Spirit World" exist without the "Great Spirit"?
P.s. I just saw your "apple Ipad" mark and must confess that you being an Apple guy has brought out the kinder... me. Okay... and the I like you thing too.

Does God have a Soul, Spirit and Body? Remember... we were made in "His IMAGE".
The Holy Spirit comes from the Father.
God had a spirit son before creation.
God has a flesh son that he used to bring us light.
The flesh son did not exist before the worlds were made. The spirit son was brought into existence by his creator.
When a single cell subdivides into two, the first cell created the second.
Is God like that? The first cell is the original and the second a copy of?
It would still be considered a creation.
Just thinking of what might be.
