Repent, and believe the gospel (Mark 1:4 KJV) by baptism of repentance for the remission of sins (Mark 1:4 KJV, Mark 16:16 KJV, Acts 2:38 KJV)

Before anyone could be baptized with water they has to fist believe, as witnessed by the following exchange between Philip and the eunuch:

"And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God" (Acts 8:36-37).

By the time when the eunuch believed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, he had already received life when he was born of God:

" But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name" (Jn.20:31).

"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God..For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 Jn.5:1,4-5).

Hi and 1 Cor 12:13 is a different issue , so answer Gal 3:28 so stop side stepping as I am not a Novice !!

Why do you say that 1 Corinthians 12:13 is a different issue?

Are you one of those who say that there were two different Bodies of Christ?

If you believe that teaching from the Acts 28 crowd then you are a Novice!

He did!How did you miss it?

You need to learn to read. Here is what he said"

I am not sure why Jerry has a hangup about the gospel of God, Romans 1:1-4 (KJV), being a foundation truth for both churches in Acts.

He said that it is the gospel of God which is the foundation truth of both the churches in Acts.

When I asked him what that foundational truth is he refused to answer.

Since you think that you are an expert on this then tell me what that "foundation truth" is.

And make sure that you back up your answer with Scriptures.

Repent, and believe the gospel (Mark 1:4 KJV) by baptism of repentance for the remission of sins (Mark 1:4 KJV, Mark 16:16 KJV, Acts 2:38 KJV)

keep the commandments (John 14:15 KJV, Matthew 23:2-3 KJV, John 15:5-10 KJV)

endure to the end to be saved (Matthew 10:22 KJV, Matthew 24:13 KJV)

don't fall away (Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV)

go through the trial of their faith (1 Peter 1:7 KJV), receiving the end of their faith, even the salvation of their souls (1 Peter 1:9 KJV)

do, do do...

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, for your listening displeasure... The Jerry-at-tricks and their long hoped lost "The Do-Run-Run."

You talk about a fool who's really a pill
Da do run-run-run, da do run-run
Somebody told me he's a Mid-Acts shill
Da do run-run-run, da do run-run
Yeah, he's insistent still
Da do run-run-run, da do run-run...

Hi and this is why Mid-Acts was chosen , so that Acts 13 and Acts 11 and Acts 28 people could worship with Acts 9 and we even had Acts 2 in our assembly .

Not one caused any problem , but Acts 28 did one time . You have noticed that Acts 13 have one foot in the Gospels and the other in Grace !!

Let's not forget the latest development - what could be referred to as "The Almost Acts 28 Position," lol

What is the "foundation truth" found in the the gospel of God which is for both churches in Acts?

Please quote the verse or verses which back up your claim.

Lol, this Jerry is a blind man in a pitch black room, with a jet black bag over his head.

Quote "I am not sure why Jerry has a hang-up about the gospel of God, Romans 1:1-4 (KJV), being a foundation truth for both churches in Acts."

Hint, hint - Romans 1:1-4 (KJV), being a foundation truth.

Duh-uh!

It's an endure to the end to be saved for them. You know it and HATE it.

It's right there in the text and you can't see it. It is concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and declared to be the Son of God with power, by the resurrection from the dead (in simple terms: the WHO of Jesus Christ and that God raised Him from the dead)

Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Peter preached it at Pentecost

Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Acts 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Acts 2:25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Acts 2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Acts 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Acts 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

If you can't see the gospel of God in what Peter preached above, you have a sight problem (1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV).

Why did you not quote verses one and two?:

"Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)" (Ro.1:1-2).

The gospel Paul preached was not based on prophecy but instead it was a secret or "mystery":

"Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past" (Ro.16:25-26).

Have you not yet learned to distinguish between "prophecy" and "mystery"?

Because she was addressing the issue of the foundation of both :bang:

Acts 28 would say the bulk of discussion on this thread has nothing to do with the Body and so is an irrelevant waste of time even to discuss. So what does 'almost 28' mean?

Out of respect for them, I'll let those who it was aimed at - jokingly - answer that. Thanks.
