most liberals couldn't care less about anyone but themselves

true, a lot of Rs are like that as well

I could NEVER, ever fall in love w/ a ... non-R

but then... I probably can't fall in love w/ anyone anymore... not worthy

It is only Christ that makes any of us worthy. The only way you will see a worthy man, is one under the blood. I did not fall in love with my now-wife, until I saw her under the blood of Christ. Seeing Christ, the affections of my soul, in her, I proposed. A LOT of people look at members on TOL without looking through the blood of Christ. We can't find our brothers and sisters that way. Let the world judge us wrongly, but we will see each other under blood, all who are soaked in it. The world doesn't understand the preciousness of the blood. To them, it is the fodder of a horror show. Life is in the blood and we are all incredible when covered in it. It is beautiful because every drop screams the Love of God to redeem a lost people.

Nothing but the Blood of Jesus

"Nothing But The Blood"

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

This is all my righteousness
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my hope and peace
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

just wondering..

I'm Catholic and will never leave the Church, even though the human part of the Church... uh... shall we say "bites" most of the time..

But anyhow... I think if I weren't Cahtolic, I would be Baptist.

I went to a Baptist Church in Texas long ago and it was a lovely affair... people caught up in the Spirit.. singing, etc..

of course, that was when I was a lot younger.. but still, I remember it to this day.. and I was impressed..

Republichick saic,

a woman looking for a man
-----------------------------------------------

God put that desire into the Brain of Women.

--Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow

and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;

and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Years ago I left the church because I felt I had to leave both my brain and heart outside the front door before I entered in.

I am a committed disciple of Jesus these days.

Probably agnostic.
The lack of centuries-old cemented doctrine would allow for me to form a belief system based upon my life experiences and reason, rather than trying to interpret both to justify what I was told as a child, as too many church people dedicate themselves to doing.

If your parents were Catholic, you'll probably be one too.
If your parents were Sunni, you'll probably be one too.
If your parents were Hindu, you'll probably be one too.

I think that gets the point across

A bit Pavlovian/Skinnarian. Is it nurture or nature?

Well, if I weren't Reformed Baptist I'd be Presbyterian, but that's a fairly small change anyway. Now, if we're talking about shifts of entire religions as opposed to just denominations, I can't even really consider it.
