I have more understanding because I obey.

That is what the Bible says.

Psalm 119:100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

That's 'time past'.
You can't inject yourself in there.
It's impossible.

Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

Isaiah was speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ....here.

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

John 12:38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

John 12:41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

The heavens are His throne....the earth is His footstool. Think big, GT. You keep trying to put God in a box. :nono:

Again, if God gives descriptions of Himself, then I will go by God, not by your doubt and condescension.

You can't even figure out the godhead, so you attribute everything to one member of the godhead. Just because they are inseparable, doesn't mean they are not distinct.

Here we see the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And the love of God.
And the communion of the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

We see "descriptions of Himself" that you ignore. You're too hung up on claiming "right hand" means something other than power or position. You claim a "throne" is a chair in the sky rather than a government (power) or all the heavens. And yet you take pride in your ignorance. That never ceases to amaze me.

Another partial truth.....you are never more than half right. :chuckle:

The Father is not a man.
The Spirit is not a man.
Jesus Christ is a man and He is God.

That is what the Catholics taught you.

I only go by the scriptures.

You're sure trying to distance yourself from the Catholics, aren't you? I went to Catholic school in 6th grade, and learned to diagram sentences and the difference between mortal and venial sins.

So, no, I actually learned that from John.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

What is your claim?

Isaiah 48:16
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.

I gave many scriptures which describe God the Father, and He choose to show Himself with a face, with eyes, a nose, a mouth, arms, hands, legs, and feet. So that is the way I see him.

Jesus says when you see him, you can say, "I see the Father".

So why do you fault me for speaking what the Bible says?

That has got to be the most seriously deranged point of view I have ever heard or read. I should have realised that would be your twisted opinion, because of the way you tried to deal with the heart question. Or didn't deal with it actually.

You don't believe what God's written Word says.

You believe in your own imagination.

You don't believe what God's written Word says.

You believe in your own imagination.
Neither do you. I quoted directly where Paul explicitly says that we are spirit beings dwelling in a fleshy "tent," and you rejected it in favor of your own beliefs without providing scripture to back them up.

The doctrine was around long before the council of Nicea.

And even in 325AD there was no supreme Roman Bishop/Pope governing all other congregations, therefore Nicea itself was not Roman Catholic.

At Nicea there were more Bishops from the east than there were from the west.

we are flesh and spirit. For you to say we are not and claim you got that from Paul is ridiculous.
