Our Spirit goes to be with Jesus in heaven, or it goes to hell/prison.

John 3:13 KJV
(13) And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Acts 2:34-35 KJV
(34) For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
(35) Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Whatever it is that returns to God, that spirit of man certainly doesn't qualify as the man itself. What saith the Preacher?

Ecclesiastes 12:7 KJV
(7) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Solomon doesn't seem to indicate that God created the spirit, or that the spirit is an individual or what defines us, but that it was something that always belonged to God, something on loan from God. On loan to each of us, and when we perish, he takes it back. It. Not a he or a she. An it.

That is about no one but Jesus going to heaven in their body.

Our spirits look like us and change and grow with us.

That's not a correct logical assumption. "Image" does not necessarily means "looks like." For example,

Colossians 1:15 KJV
(15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

So how is Jesus the image of the invisible God, who by definition, is not bound by any physical look? What color is God's hair then?
a) Brown or black, as Jesus likely had
b) White like wool, as he appeared in Revelation
c) However he chooses to appear at any given time

Jesus is the image of the invisible God in some way other than physical appearance (which would be inapplicable, by definition.)

We are created in the image of the invisible God in some other way than physical appearance. God is a spirit (by definition, see the gospel of John) so in what other ways can a thing be made in the image of its creator?

God the Father is Spirit and has a face, arms, hands, legs, feet. He walks and sits... Jesus is God with a physical body. When I say we look like God I am talking about having those types of features.

Philosophy alert. "Our spirits look exactly like us" - can't think of any scriptural support for that one.

The disciples thought Jesus was a ghost/spirit.

That is proof that our spirit looks like we do.

We also can see with the story about the rich man and Lazarus that their spirits look like them.

Lazarus was carried.

He has a finger.

The rich man can feel and talk...

Paul speaks about being out of the body, and it is clear that he looked like him.

I have proven my beliefs with scripture.

Your god is too small and you're a polytheist.

The Bible supports monotheism.

I knew there were some deep problems, but they are becoming obvious with this.

It's much akin to Mormonism.

For awhile there she was parroting some things that were close to understanding the trinity, but she's gone far afield....impressed with her own distorted ideas, I would guess.

This is pure heresy.

You call the scriptures heresy.

"Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."

That scripture says God has hands.

Scriptures of God sitting on the throne.

Rev 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Rev 5:7 And He came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
