He won't answer any questions. Well, not direct ones such as Denomination/Creed, Spouse, etc. I never asked about any sproglets.
I'm pretty useless at such estimations, but my Missus can look over my shoulder, see a sentence or whatever, and 'ping', she's right there.
My proposal about the Old Laws is that they were not spiritual so much as down-to-earth ways of living that strengthened, enhanced, cohesed, protected, secured and kept healthy the Israelites. I can see why previous debaters have mentioned the shellfish rule because it protected from salt and fresh-water shellfish poison paralysis, and if a hungry crowd went out on to a foreshore for an easy meal they could all be dead by sun-down. Equally, any kind of sexual activity beyond marriage was very dangerous and could spread an illness right across a tribe in no time, which must have happened to, say, Canaanite tribes.
Today, transmission of illness can happen like that, but what can protect against mass illness is either strong marriage, sex education and/or advanced medicine. Ergo, I believe that Gay marriage is as safe as Hetero-marriage.
Despite all sides and aspects of such debate, there are scores and scores of New Testament guides, rules and laws which never seem to get mentioned, and we surely should focus upon carrying those out before we judge others?
I'll see how far I can argue before I'm exhausted!

On the one hand, the whole point of the cross is that we fall short. On the other hand, one does expect to see the fruit of the Spirit if one has Him resident inside. Probably why it's best to leave the judgment up to the only righteous Judge in most circumstances. Though I realize even that is tricky, since we're commanded to discern false prophets and distance ourselves from someone who claims Christ but willfully continues in sin.
But please don't imagine for a second that I think that I am saved...... I do not have certitude, no Sir.
I suppose certitude is different than trust, but the line between evades me as I try to tease it out. Perhaps it lies in where... well actually in whom, really, the focus lies.
The 'You're not saved!' crowd are truly amazing. As if they will sit upon some bench to judge!
The scripture does indicate the saints will judge. I'm not sure the judging is the problem, so much as the doing so without a healthy dose of the fear of the Lord and His love. A lot of contemporary believers seem to miss that the prophets (including our Lord) wept over the ones they had to warn of coming judgment. We seem to easily forget that "God does not delight in the death of the wicked".
The parable of the day laborers, the parable of the prodigal son, the thief crucified alongside Jesus all point to the latter. His warnings to hold fast until the end point to the former.
Oh, that is only chucked by the lost, methinks.
I think that folks can be saved who never heard the name of Yeshua BarYosef. After all, the name Jesus was not printed until about the 16th century, but folks just forget such things.
I honestly don't know how things work for those who never hear the gospel. I have no idea what accountability is given to children at what age, either.
