Well, classical music wasn't very popular in my school, but rock n roll was.

Pink Floyd's The Wall was still very popular.
I was enamored with Dire Staits Brothers in Arms.
REO's Can't Fight this Feeling was played @ about every function.
I would hear a car stereo blaring the power ballad from the Scorpions Still Loving You in the school parking, that & Motley Crue's Looks that Kill.
Chicago's Stay the Night & Rush's Big Money was on MTV.
And the metalheads couldn't stop talking about Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls.

To be honest I researched it on google . I couldn't remember a single thing about the year 2000 other than computers still worked.
