Our God is called the Rock.

Our God in the flesh is called the Rock of Offense.

You don't know enough, for Jesus is called the Rock in the desert with Moses:

1 Corinthians 10:4
and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

Read this scripture:

Deuteronomy 32:1 You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.

That is the same Rock Jesus who was in the desert and fathered them.

That Rock GAVE THEM BIRTH.

It's not going so well for you now is it.

All one has to do is accept the truth.
In the OT, when they spoke of God being the Rock, they didn't call Him the Father....He was God.

Malachi 2:10 Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our ancestors by being unfaithful to one another?

1 Samuel 2:2
There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Psalm 62:7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

The lone exception is Psalm 89, and there it is speaking of His being the Father of David's offspring, the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have proven with scripture that God is the Father because He created us, and He is the Rock, the Christ who fathered them.

See Deuteronomy 32:18. You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.

1 Corinthians 10:4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

Read these scriptures, they show that God in the old testament is speaking of being a Father to Jesus. That is complete proof that God is the Father who is Jesus in the old testament.

2 Samuel 7:14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands.

DID YOU READ THAT?

YOU admit that it is JESUS speaking in the old testament, and you are right, but you do not admit that that Jesus is saying Jesus in the flesh will be HIS SON and that He will be the FATHER.

1 Chronicles 17:13 I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.

1 Chronicles 22:10 He is the one who will build a house for my Name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.'

Psalm 89:26 He will call out to me, 'You are my Faher, my God, the Rock my Savior.'

Sometimes the Father image is present, although the term 'Father' was not used.

Exodus 4:22-23 Then say to Pharaoh, 'This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son,
and I told you, "Let my son go, so he may worship me." But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.'"

Jeremiah 31:20 Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him," declares the LORD.

Hosea 11:1-4 "When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.

Throughout the Bible we read that God is the Father.

YOU say that is Jesus. RIGHT. It is Jesus, and he speak of himself as being the FATHER to Jesus in the flesh.

Deuteronomy 32:6 Is this the way you repay the LORD, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?

Isaiah 63:16 But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name.

God is called the Father of Israel, Isaiah 64:8 ; Jeremiah 3:4 Jeremiah 3:19 ; Malachi 1:6 ; 2:10, and the Father of certain individuals, 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles 17:13, 22:10, Psalm 89:26.

Fatherhood of God in the Old Testament.

Isaiah 64:8 Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Malachi 2:10 Do we not all have one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our ancestors by being unfaithful to one another?

So tell us glorydaze, how is it that YOU say it is Jesus speaking in the old testament and not be the Father when He says He will be the Father to Christ Jesus?

I think LA and you are agnostic.
Agnostic: a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.

Do you really think GD is an agnostic based on what she says?

If so, I fear for your soul, and your IQ...

I couldn't care any less what you fear.

I said what LA wrongly accused me of and had to take off the 'a'. However, you and they would certainly cause one to think the truth cannot be known, since you all don't speak right according to the scriptures.

Glory and you are caught.

Jesus in the old testament says that He will be Jesus'Father, and Jesus will be His Son.

You, gt, have taught yourself to take the verses out of its original, perfect context to make your pretext, and then, you, gt, sing some victory song for doing INjustice to them. Read the Bible in CONTEXT, gt, CONTEXT, gt, CONTEXT. Just because you read father/son does not mean that the verse you provide is talking about God the Father and God the Son being one and the same. Some of the verses you provided, in its original, perfect context, are talking Solomon being named before he was even born; some are talking about David, that is, if you would teach yourself to read the verses in its original, perfect context, you, gt, would be able to see it. But, alas, you simply search for 'father/son' and present verses as saying what you, gt, say that they say. But when you go and read the verses you provide in its original, perfect context, we can see that the verses you provided are not saying what you say it is saying.

1 Chronicles 17:13 ---talking about David

1 Chronicles 22:10 ---Solomon was named before he was born and was to build the temple of God.

Psalm 89:26 --- David referred to the Lord by three titles: “my Father,” “my God,” and “the Rock of my Salvation.”

Deuteronomy 32:1 --- wrong verse as this verse calls both Heaven and Earth to account, because this song affects both.

God is speaking of JESUS.

It is prophetic about Jesus.

Shame on you.

You are resorting to the tactics the Jews who reject Jesus say.

Do you want to argue against me about who is the one who is called 'son' and who is the one who carried sins of others?

I can hardly believe that JR is now saying that the PROPHECY SCRIPTURES about JESUS are not really about Jesus but are about David.

I can show you several verses that say that Jesus is the one who created, in parallel to Genesis 1:1.

YEP, but both LA and God's Untruth do their utmost to separate the UNITY of the persons of the Godhead.....LA doesn't see their oneness and God's Untruth only sees their oneness. I'm afraid it's pointless to change the minds of either one of them.

I especially appreciate what AMR shared here. God's Untruth insists on giving all the persons of the Godhead the same name (Father) or (SPIRIT) whatever mood she happens to be in that day.

The fulness of the Godhead is, indeed, in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Equally.

AMR said:
God’s indivisible essence is common to the three subsistences (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), each possessing the one divine essence as one undivided nature—‘as all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ’, so also in the Holy Spirit; and of the Father. In other words, the personal subsistences are not dividing up the one divine essence, as in one-third for the Father, one-third for the Son, and one-third for the Holy Spirit. Rather, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are co-equal, co-participants of the one divine essence (the meaning of fullness in Col. 2:9).
