You people are so scatter-brained that you can't even recognize a relevant post when it is offered, and you go right on bickering. Can you think beyond your shallow little ideas? Or is my post too difficult for you to understand?

Your long boring posts where you copy and paste someone else is nothing to bother with. By the way, where have you routinely answered our posts personally?

Boring? Have you bothered to read them? Your posts are so trivial that it hurts. I can't believe people bother to debate with you. I suppose you haven't quoted anybody else, ever? Most people here DO. I have personally answered posts since I've been on this forum. Don't put me down when you can't even Biblically prove your points. All I ask is that someone comment on what I post. Is it too difficult?

You guys here insult each other constantly! I guess that's the way you keep each others' attention. I get caught up in what you are already doing, and I get carried away. I really should've kept my opinions to myself.

You do not have a clue who Jesus Christ really is glorydaz. It is you who is misled to swallow the traditions of men.

Says the one who denies Scripture, which calls Jesus God.

Consider him to be the right arm of God. A perfect reflection of the Father. The express image of God. Be advised that God is not and never was a man.

Keypurr, you are a heretic, and are blaspheming the LORD God almighty.

This is what Scripture says:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”
And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”
He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”
And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”
Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?”
He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the L ord,”’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”
Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees.
And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”
John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know.
It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”
These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’
I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.
And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”
The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”
He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).
One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).
And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).
The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”
Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”
And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” - John 1:1-51 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John1:1-51&version=NKJV

I wonder who you think is looking at you in the mirror.

Its just my reflection so it is not a who.

There is a huge difference between the image of God and the EXPRESS image of God. But you do not see that. Your blinded by your traditional thoughts. The express image is a who, the logos, the spirit Son.

Yes, I have over thirty translations to compare friend.

Where does it say in your verse that they are all God?

The entire verse says it, Keypurr. Read the entire verse as a whole.

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. - 1 John 5:7 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1John5:7&version=NKJV

You can't reconcile your beliefs with Scripture. You say that God did not become a man, yet ALL of John 1 says otherwise.

You are a heretic, Keypurr, You blaspheme the LORD God almighty with your comments.

Jesus became a man, and dwelt among us.
Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, these three are one.
The Father is God, the Word (Jesus) is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, but they are one God.
Therefore, God became a man, His name is "God with us."

No; the self sacrifice of the Christ is the example and way to follow. As His body was crucified; we whom are His are likewise dead to the wants of the flesh.

But that's only half now isn't it?

He was resurrected in the Spirit and we too; being dead to the flesh and seeking to do the Will of GOD alone through the Spirit, are made alive in Christ. Yet though to claim oneself as Christ or even in Christ is gross error and vanity, especially when ones works are wholly opposed to the fruits of the Spirit.

What a great post. :) :thumb:

You aren't aware of the scriptures even when it is plainly written.

Jesus died on the cross, he is the Sacrificial Lamb of God.

Marhig and you want to rewrite the scriptures.
Show me the verse that says that the death of Jesus saves, not the blood, but the death? Thanks

Show me the verse that says that the death of Jesus saves, not the blood, but the death? Thanks

Heb 9:12-18 KJV
(12) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
(13) For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
(14) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
(15) And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
(16) For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
(17) For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
(18) Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

Regarding that question, the blood is the symbol for his death. Without his death, there is no receiving the promise of eternal inheritance (verse 15). As to where this is necessary, Paul says it was absolutely necessary because of the nature and meaning of a testament (verse 16).

Marhig, don't be squeamish about embracing the blood and the cross - they are the symbols that God chose.

This is what happens many a times, it is more important to emphasize the sentence structure, which had nothing wrong with it, than to read for comprehension.

Not an attempt to justify GE's paranoid ravings, but I had a little trouble figuring out what that was supposed to mean also.
