1 Corinthians 1:18

No; the self sacrifice of the Christ is the example and way to follow. As His body was crucified; we whom are His are likewise dead to the wants of the flesh.

But that's only half now isn't it?

He was resurrected in the Spirit and we too; being dead to the flesh and seeking to do the Will of GOD alone through the Spirit, are made alive in Christ. Yet though to claim oneself as Christ or even in Christ is gross error and vanity, especially when ones works are wholly opposed to the fruits of the Spirit.

If you don't feel that you have good fruit, how will you see it in others?

Since you are so self deprecating, how can you try to encourage others in the Lord?

It is not prideful to say we are in Christ. It is what Jesus does; he puts people in him.

Just because you do not see yourself as good enough to be in Christ, it does not mean God does not put us in Him. Believe what is written.
