When the teaching is that a look-alike substituted for Jesus on the cross, how would then Jesus be resurrected if he didn't die?
That isn't the claim exactly.
First; let me apologize for using the additional dialog that was optional and not of the Quran. I had mistakenly clicked something when copying text that added the, uhm, explanation; but I do not generally go off of the explanations of others, and should have thoroughly inspected the words therein. I did not as I acted out of haste and sloppily sent it out to the world without careful consideration; much like I do in many of my posts. So... I apologize.
Now
Let's review the actual texts with a spiritual mindset and conclude what is true by the leave of GOD, if it is the Will of GOD.
Let us collect what we know(believe) and apply it shall we?
4:154. And We raised the Mount above them while taking their covenant (at the foot of the Mount), and We said to them, ‘Enter the gate (of the town) submissively,’ and We said to them, ‘Do not violate the (law of) Sabbath.’ And We took from them a solemn covenant.
4:155. Then because of their breaking their covenant and their denial of the Messages of Allâh and their antagonising the Prophets without a just cause and their saying, ‘Our hearts are uncircumcised (and so cannot hear).’ Nay, (the truth however is) Allâh has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief so that they believe but a little.
4:156. And (The Lord has done this) because of their denying (Jesus) and because of their uttering a great calumny against Mary,
4:157. And because of their (falsely) claiming, ‘We did kill the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the (false) Messenger of Allâh,’ whereas they killed him not, nor did they cause his death by crucifixion, but he was made to them to resemble (one crucified to death). Verily, those who differ therein are certainly in (a state of) confusion about it. They have no definite knowledge of the matter but are only following a conjecture. They did not kill him, this much is certain (and thus could not prove the Christ as accursed).
Now.... I am going to go into detail on this surah.
4:157. And because of their (unbelievers in Jesus the Christ) (falsely) claiming, ‘We did kill the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the (false) Messenger of Allâh,’ whereas they killed him not (the Spirit of GOD is eternal), nor did they cause his death by crucifixion (He willingly gave His own life and His vessel was torn in twain upon His willing release of His Spirit, and upon finishing His work, the actual crucifixion did not kill him, he was not flogged) , but he was made to them to resemble (one crucified to death). Verily, those who differ therein are certainly in (a state of) confusion about it. They have no definite knowledge of the matter but are only following a conjecture. They did not kill him, this much is certain (and thus could not prove the Christ as accursed).
Really the surah needs no explanation for the spiritually minded with an unbiased view. (most definitely not insinuating such about you).
Basically a veil was put over Israel's eyes long ago by GOD. It is apparent who is veiled this day focusing on the supposed death of the Spirit of GOD.
