If Jesus is the first born of God, which He is, but we have obviously different definitions of firstborn, why did God the Father say this,

Any takers?

Jacob's people were the Father's firstborn by adoption. He did not actually father each person, but he adopted the group as his.

Jesus was actually fathered by the Father through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Old Testament is all about Jesus, about Jesus in a prophetic type of way. All the Law and the Prophets is about Jesus. For instance, the bronze snake is an anti-type of Jesus; as is the Rock that was in the desert with Moses; as is Law; as is Jonah in the whale for three days, etc.

Really doesn't need a link...this is on the trinity and it is good to keep all these spirits separated and catagorized appropriately...

So where does my spirit go if not to Him when I die? He gives the spirit and takes them back...something to remember when thinking about the Holy Spirit...but not the ones that go into Ham

I do not understand your sarcasm.

"and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it."

It returns to the One Who gave it...not in a float around consciously aware to look down and see you post silliness on TOL all the time...

You don't have truth to defend your false beliefs so you have to use what Satan has given you, and in this case it is insults.

Clefty, if you want to talk about what happens to our spirits after we die, you will have to start another thread. Follow the rules.

Ouch...just because the text I quoted is from the OT doesn't make it not truth...it does confirm what you think of the OT...

So you do believe there are others watching you post your silliness on TOL? And you do it anyway?

If you had God's Truth, you wouldn't need to defend your false doctrines with insults. What else has Satan left you with?

Nevermind, I got all I need from you...this thread is about the Trinity which deals with the Holy Spirit and apparently you don't agree that our spirits are relevant to It...yours maybe not...but mine I pray is

You are being deceitful. That shows a bad spirit.
