1. You wanted to say that "Let us make man in our image" was one person of God talking to other persons of God, one big happy poly-family.

2. I responded that the angels were also present, thus the passage is not conclusive as to whether God was speaking to himself or representative of angels

3. You realized that this undermined the knee-jerk Trinity proof-text and then you proceeded into troll mode. You preferred to mock "angels were present" with "there could have been Martians" even though you also acknowledged that angels were present.

That's why your snark is dishonest. If you had actually believed that angels were not present (or that Martians had something to do with this) then your response would have been honest, regardless of how obnoxious you had been about it.

Even if Angels were present, what makes you so sure that they could hear God speaking to His Son?

I don't read things into what he said that are not there, just like you did with glorydazed. Michael is a trinitarian.

Read the content of what he said, not the label by which he called himself. The same water regardless of what glass it is in, that's the analogy he used. Well, you can argue if you like. I don't call myself Trinitarian but I can agree with his description in this case.

Well, that's certainly your particular biased opinion of what I did.

Your response in yellow only tell me you have no concept of our Triune God and prefer to mock the Godhead. :idunno:

Popsthebuilder called God the Father an It; and defended it by slandering me.

He also went against me for saying the saved are perfect and holy.

He has false pride and acts like he is so humble for not saying he is made perfect BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS.

Pops denial that we can preach the truth that Jesus' shed blood on the cross makes people holy and perfect is something he needs to stop going against.

God is the Almighty and His blood shed on the cross does something amazing, it washes away sins and makes people born again, makes them perfect and holy.

Pops goes against that.

You of course have no false pride, having called yourself perfect and holy.

Does Genesis 1 say that God was speaking to his Son? Here, let's refresh the passage:

Genesis 1:26 KJV
(26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

I see where God speaks, and I see where he is directing his speech to others, but I don't see where the others are specifically named. I do know that God was present and angels were present, but that we are told that God is one but the angels are many.

By the way, something to consider for those that say that "One God means many people of the same substance" - angels are also made of the same substance, yet they are referred to as plural instead of singular when there is more than one person.

I speak about the scriptures and the scriptures say that is what the saved are.

Pops and you want to keep talking about me personally and accusing me, just like the accuser.

Do you really think it is false pride to believe God when He says He makes people perfect and holy?

You are wrong, just like you were wrong about glory. Back off and stop telling me how to post.

Did you ever respond to our being made in the image of God not angels? If God was speaking to the angels, then we'd have to be made in their image, too.

Nope; just when you loudly and repeatedly claim it about yourself all while your words speak towards the contrary.
