Of course I do.
Oh, foolish, presumptions, boastful one. You don't obey ALL Jesus' commandments PERIOD.
Of course I do.
Jesus saves us all on his own, and he tells us who he chooses to save.
He chooses those who believe and obey.
See John 14:23, Acts 5:32, and many more.
Do you really think that Jesus is going to live in someone who hasn't repented of their sins?
Jesus wouldn't even come to the lost sheep of Israel unless they repented of their sins first.
Sorrow brings about repentance, and to this end, gt is right. You ADD to Jesus' finished work of the Cross of Calvary.
Really, gt? The lost sheep of Israel had repented already giving the Lord the permission to come looking for the already saved UNbeliever lost sheep of Israel. Really, gt? Really?
When someone says for a long time now, that a UNbeliver must OBEY to be saved and keeps on saying that she obeys ALL of Jesus' commands, when that is impossible, I will not let that go. It is not bickering. This for me is a salvific issue. Meaning if a UNbeliever can already obey the Lord without knowing Him, that person does not need to hear the Gospel of the Lord; therefore condemned that person to hell by the one saying that she obeys ALL of Jesus' commands.
When I say something in a sarcastic way, I usually will say 'sarcasm' or I'll put one of the emojis I was given (that is if my brain remembers where I saved them). You just reminded me of something -- find them, just in case I use sarcasm or I also use :  :idunno:, etc.
If there is a word I really do not understand, I usually use a dictionary.
Your explanation about Canada laws makes sense to me and I would not bother you with that at all. Now, if you said, "I, Rosenritter, obey ALL of Canada's laws' then I would repeatedly tell you that you do not. However, your case would not be a salvific one for me and I probably would say it once and leave at that. gt's case is different.
gt, really believes that a UNbeliever can obey Jesus without knowing Jesus. Check.
She will parrot again that she obeys ALL of Jesus' commands in the few next posts.
What gt says, for me, at least for me, is a salvific issue and it must be reproved, for a UNbeliever cannot and will not OBEY the Lord and desperately needs to hear the Gospel pointing to the Savior and His finished work on the Cross of Calvary. You can ask gt's testimony of salvation and judge for yourself.
Sorrow brings about repentance, and to this end, gt is right.

A Christian obeys the laws of God to his best ability. That is all God asks. We try, and we do not DELIBERATELY break His laws. He has repeatedly said in the Scriptures that He requires obedience. He has said this from the beginning.
"And now if you will strictly obey my voice...then you will become my special property..." (Exodus 19:5)
"And it must occur that if you will without fail obey my commandments that I am commanding you today..." (Deut.11:13)
"If you will fear Jehovah and actually serve him and obey his voice, and you will not rebel against the order of Jehovah..." (I Samuel 12:14)
"It is the voice of Jehovah our God to whom we are sending you that we shall obey, to the intent that it may go well with us because we obey the voice of Jehovah our God." (Jeremiah 42:6)
"Now to him who can make you firm in accord with the good news I declare and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the sacred secret which has been kept in silence for long-lasting times but has now been made manifest and has been made known through the prophetic scriptures among all the nations in accord with the command of the everlasting God to promote obedience by faith." (Romans 16:25,26)
Jesus said: "You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you." (John 15:14)
"In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely." (I Peter 2:21)
It is clear that God and Jesus require obedience.
This obedience, though, can come only after a person learns about God and Christ and what they require.
To be saved or to the already saved?

Why do you say "the already saved" when Jesus clearly said, "He that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved"? (Matthew 10:22; Matthew 24:13)
We have to have a life-long record of obedience.
We must obey to be accepted by Him as His friend.
I was going to respond differently, however, this simply popped in my mind 'Define Christian, please.'
Definition of a Christian:
Someone who accepts what Jesus did for us as Redeemer, and who then follows everything he tells us to do to the best of our ability.
"Let your light shine shine before men, that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens." (Matthew 5:16)
You sound like a JW to me. Am I wrong?
Excellent deduction! Why do you disagree with what I posted?
Because your Jesus is a different Jesus than my Jesus.
Your Jesus is Michael the Archangel.
My Jesus is God incarnate.
I am always amazed how the Holy Spirit warns me that something is not quite right.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but if you see something in the Bible, as I cited, and it actually disagrees with your belief, and you resist what the Bible is saying, I don't think that the Holy Spirit is what is "warning" you!
You didn't answer my question---why do you take offense? Didn't Jesus say what I cited from Matthew 5:16? Can you answer that?
Didn't Jesus say what I cited from Matthew 5:16? Can you answer that?
I have no issue with what my Jesus said.
I have issue with your doctrine that Jesus is Michael the Archangel.
You are attributing to Michael the Archangel the sayings that belong to my Jesus, God incarnate.
You and I do not worship the same Jesus.
You worship Michael the Archangel and I worship God incarnate.
