Correct. People who are ALREADY saved search for Him so that they can obey Him.

Do you hear yourself, gt? You're saying that God wrote to UNbelievers. Really, gt? Really?????

The Bible is written so that all who in the future can be saved!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Romans 16:25-27 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him–to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

The Bible was NOT written for UNbelievers.

Jesus had to REVEAL Himself to them.

Jesus. Only. Reveals. Himself. To. Those. Who. OBEY.

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him."

What you drinking gt?

Now a person has to READ the Bible before they can believe. Romans 10:17 not good enough for you, huh?

When a person hears anything about God, and hears about God calling people to be saved, they do NOT NECESSARILY ALREADY believe while they are reading the Bible.

A person could be curious and read the Bible.

For you to claim only those who already believe in God read the Bible is just plain laughable.

So, now we have distinctions of UNbelievers. Got it.

I think there are distinctions in unbelievers. There is passive or default unbelief, then there is active and intentional unbelief.

Heb 6:4-6
(4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
(5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
(6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

All things may be possible with God, but the task above is impossible because it has already forsaken God by an active, conscious, informed decision.

Luk 18:26-27
(26) And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
(27) And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

The Bible was NOT written for UNbelievers.

Joh 20:30-31
(30) And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
(31) But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

While the Bible is certainly written for believers (2 Timothy 3:15) perhaps it is written at multiple levels. The gospel of John seems specifically written with the unbeliever in mind, for the purpose that the reader might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, that through this belief they might have life.

Rom 3:1-3
(1) What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
(2) Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
(3) For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Along similar lines, the scripture was given to the Jews, but not all Jews believed. And why does the Bible contain prophecy? Isn't (one of) the purpose of prophecy to prove the validity of a message to someone who does not yet believe?

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him."

Oh, woman of little faith in what the written word says.

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments [the person that has already believed and is already saved] and obeys them [the commandments they already have because they have believed and are already saved] is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father [because they already believed and have been saved by me (Jesus)], and I [Jesus] will love him and will reveal myself to him [because already believed and I now can show them through my Holy Spirit what I (Jesus) want him/her to obey].

Because BELIEF comes by HEARING not reading.

A person could be curious and read the Bible.

Correct. However, that would be as you say a curiosity.

For you to claim only those who already believe in God read the Bible is just plain laughable.

I have made no such statement. That is something you infer from something I said.

Only the evil speak as you just did.

Matthew 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds."

Oh, please stop hiding yourself behind the 'you insulted me' veneer. It is unbecoming.
