Separation of church and state in the modern version is stupid and prayers to the true God should always be encouraged. Prayer to false gods shouldn't be allowed on public property.

Separation of church and state is wise. We're a secular state. There is no state religion, so rather than wrangle over who's going to do the praying, how bout they just stick to government business.

Who wants the only seat. It a not a seat anyway. Islam and Christianity worship the same God. They just do it in different ways. They don't really get that Jesus was the son of God. It doesn't pertain to them. They still worship the father, creator, the one God. Why does everyone have to be so bent on division of Faith in God? That isn't how it is supposed to be according to the Bible, and the Qur'an.

This is being cited around the internet as a very good example of Christian privilege in government.

Previously town councils like this one would only open with Christian prayers. No one from any other religion was ever invited to give their own prayer. But then a court ruling mandated that the government can't play favorites like that, and if they're going to open with a prayer, they have to open that up to people from other faiths.

And after the very first time a non-Christian gave a non-Christian opening prayer, the council immediately voted to end the practice of opening prayers altogether. So basically they said, "If it can't be Christians only, then we're not doing it at all".

Are you saying that because Jesus taught in the lands of th middle east that his teachings do not pertain to Gentiles? Have you even read the bible if this is your belief. Talk about lack of comprehension. If you can read but not comprehend then the congregations may be the best place for you to learn. I bet they'll talk about love, patience, understanding, and forgiveness as opposed to division and hatred. Only if they comprehend scripture at all though. Thanks.

1.) Man is not good and evil.. man is just plain evil. Anything good that happens through man is through direct intervention from God.

2.) The Ancient texts of the bible were INSPIRED by God through men... and they are 99.99% accurate and have not been corrupted.

3.) No, Jesus' teaching do not apply to the gentiles... Jesus' teachings were as a Rabbi teaching the Jews about the Mosaic Law and how they had forgotten what it was all about.

4.) The New Testament tells us to stay away from false teachers and stay separate from the Non-Christians if possible.

So no, it it is you that needs to study more.
