    Is death just another life?

I mean physical. To be a new creature, the first creature must be killed. 2 Cor 5:17..."Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

    Is death just another life?

Physical death, by faith in Christ. "The wages of sin is death..." (Rom 6:23) "Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; ..." (1 Tim 5:24) "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." (Gal 5:24) If one is a new creature, the old man...

    Fasting thread

As has been shown here, some folks fast for other reasons than to "chasten" the vessel...a religiously oriented fast. Some do it for weight loss, and I have heard it can be used to identify allergy causing foods...a physically oriented fast.

    Fasting thread

Thanks for the info. Though I have fasted as a type 1 diabetic without any problems, (once), it sorta scares me. I guess the only way to test the theories regarding fasting for non-religious benefits is to just jump in...with food on standby. Thanks again.

    Fasting thread

? The last time I fasted in the name of Jesus Christ, it was to show the body who was boss, and God rewarded me. Was your fast "God" related?

Did God have anything for you, or us, during your fast? Or was your "fast" not about hearing from God?

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Show where Paul sinned or repented of sins done as a supposed Christian. Paul wrote..."Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34) And these..."Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Then any argument that we cannot say "we have no sin" is over. More sin manifests one is walking in darkness. If one is walking in God, there is no reason to go back into darkness. If one is still sinning, they were never in God who is the light. The lie occurs when sinners say they don't...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Keep believing and you will be saved...on the day of judgement when your name is found in the book of life. Do something that invalidates your belief, like murder someone, and you won't be saved. I agree. I agree, so if we do something a Christian would never automatically do, it means we...

The word "IF" states a condition and result. If we walk in darkness...X If we walk in light...Y After verse 5, John alternates between darkness and light. How so? Perhaps it is some other site where I have met someone who says they cannot be perfect because they still have a "body". Agreed ! The worldly oriented mind, which those now in Christ have forsaken, to the glory of God. "Saved" will happen on the day of judgement. Till then, we are to...

Not necessarily. We don't know if everyone at Eph. knew what the OG's, (older converts), knew so this may have been info' for newbies...or men searching for the truth 2000 years later. On the other hand, if the OG's were not exhibiting Christ in their walks, it is a sign they didn't have faith...
