Eternal suffering is not Literal

ok doser

lifeguard at the cement pond
All who know the true God knows allready he is a God of justice, all his ways are justice( Deut 32:4)= uncorruptable justice scales. He taught all that justice= An eye for an eye= perfect balance on his scales.

Lets apply Gods justice scales to a literal eternal suffering---- On one side-70-100 years of a life of unrepented sin----- On the other side trillions x trillions x trillions of never ending years of suffering. See any justice?

The reality the true living God set before all mankind-Deut 30:19= Life or death( both will be eternal)

Eternal suffering symbolism = As each new day dawns in Gods kingdom, those not allowed in miss each new day, miss Gods loveeach new day-it never ends.---Likenedto be an eternal suffering.
Only a sadist would create such a place one who has no justice. Only blind guides teach it as literal.

more confession through projection

Mat 25:46 These people will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life."

And i showed you the true God and his justice. Makes eternal suffering an impossibility--The true God = Love, merciful, forgiving--not a sadist.

no , you have shown you don't know how to interpret scripture
and I provided a verse that needs no interpretation it literally has Jesus saying "eternal punishment"
which contradicts your OP

Ok you serve your non existent sadist i will serve YHWH(Jehovah) the God of love, mercy and forgiveness-The one who set this before all mankind-Life or death-Deut 30:19--His word teaches. His word goes forth and does not come back undone. There is no life in death. Nor knowledge, or wisdom or anything.
Here is an NT teaching about the place of eternal suffering proving it is symbolism--It says its a place where the worm dieth not---No worm could live an hour in a hot firey place, It does however live 6 feet under.

you serve a false god

and you don't understand scripture
Eph_2:1 And He has made you alive, who were once dead in trespasses and sins,

you're still dead in your trespasses and sins and not 6 feet under

Rev 20:12 I saw the dead, both unimportant and important, standing in front of the throne, and books were open. Another book was opened—the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to their actions, as recorded in the books.
Rev 20:13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to their actions.

the above verse has the dead standing before the throne which is where your headed , dead and still existing.

you don't have an answer for this verse
Mat 25:46 These people will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life."

Let's say a man sees a woman, and he falls in love with her, but she does not reciprocate his feelings for her. So he grabs her and takes her to his home, pushes her into a room, and then boards up the doors and windows, preventing her from leaving.

Another man sees a woman, and he falls in love with her, but unlike the first woman, she loves him in return. So he grabs her and takes her to his home, but tells her that if she wants to leave, then at any time, she may.

---

@kjw47 which man is a good man, and which man is an evil man?
Both men are evil for grabbing women!. Neither is named Trump.

Who is more evil?, it remains to be seen. The first man has been tested and failed. He kept a woman against her will to satisfy his own. The second man has not been so tested, so you cannot fairly compare the two. We do not know how he will handle rejection. We only know how he responds when things go his way.

If you command your child not to go near the pool when nobody is around, but they do, fall in, and drown, is that justice?
Yes it is.
The parameters were set in place and disobeyed.
1 + 1 = 2, justice.

Erm, no it isn't, it's tragic. It's bad parenting to allow a child to go near a pool where they could potentially drown without supervision, regardless of whether you 'commanded' them to go near it or not.

Wow, this is actually sick as all get out.

You seem to value authority over reason.

If you're going to concoct some sort of analogy

I didn't come up with it. Someone else did.

Love doesn't do anything as you say or imply.

I was literally agreeing with you in my previous post. Now you're saying you were wrong?

Out of curiosity, what is your definition or understanding of 'hell'?

The place where God isn't.

That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Cos for the most part it's apparently impossible in fundamentalist circles for anyone in there to be "happy" at all.

People who reject God will be happier for eternity there in the place that God isn't than if they were to be forced to live with Him for eternity.

God casting people into the lake of fire is Him facilitating their going to that place.

The decision to go there is made final at the time of one's death.

You say my analogy doesn't work, yet even you agree that it would be wrong for someone to force someone else to live with him, and to not allow them escape. So why would it be OK for God to force those who don't want to be in God's presence, who hate Him, to be remain in His presence for all eternity?

Read Corinthians where it comes to love. Nothing else really needs to be said.

Corinthians agrees with Romans 1 and Psalm 19. I'm not sure why you're trying to pit scripture against scripture.

So you're saying Jesus was wrong when He said Matthew 25:46?

What about the people who don't want to live with God for eternity? Where is He supposed to put them?

Both men are evil for grabbing women!

I get your aversion to the first man grabbing the woman. It shows your conscience isn't completely seared.

A man cannot grab the woman who loves him?

Neither is named Trump.

This is the Religion section, not Politics.

Who is more evil? it remains to be seen. The first man has been tested and failed. He kept a woman against her will to satisfy his own. The second man has not been so tested, so you cannot fairly compare the two. We do not know how he will handle rejection. We only know how he responds when things go his way.

The point of the analogy is to show you that God is the second man, healthy in his mind, who will allow the woman to, if she so chooses, leave him, and that He is not the first man, who keeps people against their will.

God will not keep people against their will, He will not force them to live in heaven for all of eternity with Him, since they hate Him.

So where is God supposed to put those people?

Yes the parameters have been set--Life or death is the choice given to all-Deut 30:19
