Apples and oranges. This is one government official to another.

And if someone who is NOT a government official made the same remarks that Ted Cruz did? Would you still jump to the defense of the tyrannical actions of the Aussie government?

But any opinions of the minister from the general citizenry of Australia

The minister is not the general citizenry of Australia.

Which is why Tom asked for opinions from them.

can be easily met with opinions of Ted Cruz from the general citizenry of the U.S.

US politician: makes a comment about the tyranny consuming another nation's government.

Anna: Proceeds to quote a member of that tyrannical government in defense of said government.

@annabenedetti do you see the problem here? Do you not see the conflict of interest? Of course a member of the government being consumed by tyranny would defend his system, especially if he's in support of such tyranny. Which is why Ted Cruz's comment is far more valid than his, because Ted is viewing Australia from outside of Australia, and is a neutral party in matters related to how the AUS government operates.

It's called bias. Ted (at least in this matter) has none, at least related to how tyrannical the Aussie government is behaving, the covid notwithstanding.

Non sequitur.

The minister is not the general citizenry of Australia.

Which is why Tom asked for opinions from them.

Which is why I pointed out that only made sense if he compared citizenry comments from both countries.

Umm.... no. More like:

anna: posts a comment from a U.S. politician

anna: posts a response to said comment from an Australian politician.

do you see the problem here?

I do, but it's not a problem of my making.

Anna doesn't see it as tyrannical, JR. When it comes to government control over citizens, she has become inexplicably approving. It is somehow linked to her hatred of Trump, which somehow manifests itself as a desire to see governments everywhere force their citizens to take the vaccine that Trump developed.

Curious

or maybe it's just a matter of her not being able to see past the words "Ted Cruz"
