President Trump tests positive for COVID-19

Actually, that would be Idi Amin. Trump has the North American title locked up, though.

Let's not forget his recent outing where apparently catching this virus was a blessing from God...

So, not only is he probably infecting more staff in the WH, he's still not wearing a mask...

Trump’s antibody treatment was tested using cells originally derived from an abortion

This week, President Donald Trump extolled the cutting-edge coronavirus treatments he received as “miracles coming down from God.” If that’s true, then God employs cell lines derived from human fetal tissue.

The emergency antibody that Trump received last week was developed with the use of a cell line originally derived from abortion tissue, according to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, the company that developed the experimental drug.

The Trump administration has taken an increasingly firm line against medical research using fetal tissue from abortions. For example, when it moved in 2019 to curtail the ability of the National Institutes of Health to fund such research, supporters hailed a “major pro-life victory” and thanked Trump personally for taking decisive action against what they called the “outrageous and disgusting” practice of “experimentation using baby body parts.”

God blesses the use of aborted fetuses. Good to know

Well, that's just a further irony to add to the list...

While most people have to self isolate for a fortnight, he's back in the WH, taking no precautions and subjecting other people to risk. Still, he managed to get his spray tan (on his face at least) and refer to himself as "your favourite president here" so it's all good.

Making laws that violate rights is the wrong idea in all cases. People are well within their rights to wear face coverings as they go about their business, and people are also well within their rights to go about their business without wearing face coverings.
.

Do you understand the wearing of masks is for the other guy not the wearer? The wearing of no masks spread the disease to others. If the infected person at the White House wore the mask it would not have been the free for all it became.

You rights stop when it adversely affects other. Deadly diseases and traffic laws are on par. Not practicing their guidance can cause major injury and death.

The other sad and cynical side to this is how this will pander to a lot of far right wing evangelicals who may well gladly lap up his "blessing from God" spiel without having the remotest clue as to Regeneron originations. Some probably still wouldn't care regardless. He's playing to a gullible base as that's pretty much his best bet.

Apparently the medication he's on, is acting up again...

A doctor told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Sunday that the medication cocktail currently being given to President Donald Trump to treat coronavirus could have some serious side effects, including psychosis, mania and delirium.

Dr. Megan Ranney, an emergency physician and associate professor at Brown University, talked about the “very complex regimen of medications” the president is currently taking.

“Two of them, remdesivir and dexamethasone, are medications that we give in our hospital, even in our emergency department, with really sick patients with COVID-19,” she said, noting that those medications are usually only for “seriously ill patients.”

She went on to say that all of the medications Trump is taking can have side effects that could be damaging to the liver or heart, but warned that dexamethsaone “is known to have mental health side effects.”

“It can cause psychosis. It can cause delirium. It can cause mania,” Ranney said. “I would never want to say the president is experiencing steroid-induced psychosis, but it is certainly concerning to see some of his actions today in the wake of this potentially deadly diagnosis and infectious disease.”

And more craziness...

During a live phone-in on Fox Business, Donald Trump complained again that not enough of his political enemies have been arrested – and said attorney general Bill Barr could find himself in “a sad situation” if he doesn’t start rounding them up.

The blunt warning comes after Mr Trump left Walter Reed Medical Centre and returned to Twitter with a blizzard of angry tweets and retweets, many of them calling for the indictment of Obama administration figures.

The president’s rambling and ill-tempered interview with
Maria Bartiromo on Thursday saw him run through a long list of his usual grievances, but he was particularly rancorous on the subject of supposed Obama-era “crimes” against him for which he wants to see his predecessor indicted, along with Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and many others.

“Unless Bill Barr indicts these people for crimes,” declared the president, “the greatest political crime in the history of our country, then we’re gonna get little satisfaction unless I win. Because I won’t forget it. But these people should be indicted, this was the greatest political crime in the history of our country. And that includes Obama, and that includes Biden; these are people that spied on my campaign, and we have everything"

He's starting to believe his own tweets.

And they wonder why the sewer creatures were planning to overthrow the government of Michigan and hold the governor hostage. Pence needs to get the cabinet together for a hard talk.

He's almost incoherent, calling for the arrest of everyone he hates, attacks his own appointees. Yes, Wray and Barr are resisting his craziness, but for how long? Something has to be done.

The video has a good point. When this kind of craziness comes out of Trump, the right thing would be to ask; "what was it that set him off this time?"

Do you have the right to get drunk and drive?
I'm not talking about "the right to get drunk and drive," I'm talking about the right to go about your business without wearing a face covering, a right that Muslim women have demonstrated exists, do you disagree, and say that Muslim women do not have the right to go about their business without a wearing a face covering, or nah?

Firstly, we're in the middle of a pandemic and there's a reason as to why it's mandatory to wear face coverings as exminister pointed out. It's primarily for the protection of others, rather than the wearer so what on earth is your problem with that? Hey, I don't particularly enjoy wearing the things as my glasses tend to steam up when I go into a shop, the pub etc but I can appreciate the reasoning behind it and support it.

Your analogy in regards to Muslim women is just flat out silly. Of course they should be allowed to choose to wear or not wear a mask under normal circumstances. These aren't so obviously they're required to wear face coverings just the same as everyone else.

Tony Green of Dallas, a supporter of President Donald Trump, said he believed the coronavirus pandemic was a hoax designed to create panic and hurt the president's chances of reelection -- until, at 43, he ended up hospitalized with the virus.

After Green hosted a family gathering at his home in June, he says more than a dozen of his family members contracted COVID-19. Two of them died from complications.

"I'd love to take it back. I'd love to still have him and her here," Green told ABC News. "I'd like to have the opportunity to go back and save others and take this whole thing much more seriously."

Green posted an op-ed
column about his family's story in July.

"Having been a denier, carelessly shuffling through this pandemic, making fun of those wearing masks and social distancing leads me to believe, my actions convinced both our families it was safe when it wasn't," he wrote.

He trusted Trump. And now he knows he shouldn't have. Two people he loved died because he listened to Trump's lies. Multiply his story by tens of thousands, and you have Trump's legacy.

And another brilliant Trump idea...

Donald Trump suggested wearing a Superman T-shirt that would be revealed when he ripped open his shirt as he left hospital last week, according to a report.
The president was said to have proposed the stunt for leaving the Walter Reed Medical Centre after spending three days there with coronavirus.
According to The New York Times, Mr Trump suggested he initially appear frail when leaving the military medical centre. But underneath his suit shirt would be a T-shirt emblazoned with the superhero.

He reportedly planned on pulling open his shirt to reveal the Superman top as a show of strength after being admitted as an inpatient with Covid-19.
The idea, which the NYT said was raised by Mr Trump during several phone calls from the hospital’s presidential suite, was later dropped.

Superman was trending on Twitter after the report surfaced and the proposal was widely ridiculed by political pundits and critics of the president. “Whenever I think Trump can’t do something more ridiculous, he proves me wrong,” tweeted Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor.
