(Eph 1:4) For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love

That doesn't answer his question. It speaks of the Body of Christ. Those that belong to him will be Holy and blameless. He decided that first.

Of course not.

I've already made it clear that I am the biggest sinner on TOL.

Little Johnny W is nothing. I've committed much bigger sins then he ever will.

Soft, little devil boy Craigie, an admitted sodomite-his own words:

"Johnny W and the rest of the MADists/Bullingerites like doing nothing. It's a really easy belief system."-Tellalie

We smell your sulfur, you child of the devil. You've admitted being a perverter, sodomite.

And get a job, you loser, clown.

Get beat up recently, Craigie? Why don't you tell others about it, as you told me, in a PM, Wimpy?

"Nick M, Butterfly, John W, and STP (maybe others) have all said that Godrulz is not saved because he doesn’t understand the Gospel the way it is supposed to be understood." Tellalie.

=all "versions" of "the gospel" are good, and we are not to correct anyone on any doctrine, because "we could be wrong"-your spin to Nick, me, and others:

"Why should I be reasonable, when the Bible says the opposite about those that spread a false gospel?"-Nick

Notice the spineless one's wimp out:

"Because you could be wrong."-Tellalie/slander.

I can enjoy any kind of music but grunge, lol.

Country, soul, r&b, rock, classsic rock, rockabilly, metal, disco, rap, gangster rap, reggae, salsa, nortena, marriachi, opera, classical, jazz, big band, you name it...from Abba to Zz Top and everything in between.

Been fortunate in that..very fortunate..

Likewise with any and all theologies - I learn something from them all even in my difference with them.

All has helped me avoid the following...

Acts 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars hill and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

It is a principle that had enabled Paul's...

1Cor 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Okay, we're into some serious thread derailment here. Better stop. But, before I do allow me to offer you a limited time offer to join my denomination of preference. TOL's dearly departed Frank Earnest saved it from TOL's Vally of the Sons of Hinnom.

Nick, I'm not going to turn this thread into an "open theism vs. settled theism" debate.

There's like a gazilliion threads on that topic.

I'm a compatibilist.

Compatibilist - Compatibilism is the belief that free will and determinism are compatible ideas, and that it is possible to believe both without being logically inconsistent.

Props where they are due. The Bible argues for the veracity of both notions therefore our faith should as well.

Now now, Unca Joe was one of them infallible dudes exclusive to preterism. Possibly inspired.

Yes, terion of mus, Flavey Joe is one of his infallible women/alien teachers, since he never "follows the teachings of men," much less infallible men.

Craigie Tet., besides his "Darby" stumper, which he spams on every thread, as one of his "arguments" against the dispensational approach in interpreting the book, also asserts that dispensationalism is false, because it is taught by "fallible men," i.e., he claims that his "AD 70-ism," Preterism, was taught to him by infallible men, and is thus directly scripture, from God, not an "invention" of "men." To wit:

"Yes Mr. Whalen, they were fallible men who invented dispensationalism just over 150 years ago. Mr. Whalen, you might want to ask yourself why you follow the teachings of these fallible men?"-Craigie Tellalie

"A secret parenthetical time period is a false theory made up by fallible men.”-Preterist con man Craigie Tellalie

"MAD is a false non-Biblical belief system that was made up by fallable men."-Preterist Craigee Tellalie

Just show us, Craigie, the infallible men that we should follow, from which you have obtained infallible teachings, "not invented" teachings. And prove that it is direct, from God, not invented.

Craigietellafib:As silent as a turkey farm, on the third Thursday, of November.

He is the habitual liar, of TOL.

I can agree with that to a point.

But your problem remains - you are consistently illogical, and that; accross the board - even other Preterists have consistently pointed this illogic of yours out to you to no avail.

Josephus was a historian.

You don't like him because the history he recorded is a Death Knell to the false teachings of John Nelson Darby that you adhere to.

However, Josephus isn't the only person who causes you problems.

The following was written circa 130AD:

"Again, it was revealed how the city and the temple and the people of Israel should be betrayed. For the scripture saith; and it shall be in the last days, that the Lord shall deliver up the sheep of the pasture and the fold and the tower thereof to destruction. And it so happened as the Lord had spoken. " - Epistle of Barnabus16:1 ff

You can keep denying Luke 19:44, but we all know you do it because you're only interested in defending Darby's false teachings.

Never mind that great portions of Josephus' supposed accuracy are considered dubious by most historians.

But I really do appreciate that in your hands, that dubiousness has resulted in a repeated mention of Darby's important contribution to the reemergence of Pauline truth on a very consistent basis.

How about that? Even your inconsistencies bear unexpected fruit - hah; fruit that will redound to Darby's account.

Like when the dark princes of this evil age inadvertently helped bring about the very Mystery they daily have to be reminded of their agenda in their father's same pride and its ignorance helped bring about.

See JohnW, this Tet Offensive is not such a bad fella after all.

Hey, here's the LORD's Own rotfl -

Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

Matt. 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

If you knew anything about practicing law, you wouldn't say stupid things like "considered dubious by most historians".

Not to mention, I quoted Barnabas, not Josephus.

Let's look at another quote from Barnabas from circa 150AD:

"Therefore the Son of God came in the flesh to this end, that He might sum up the complete tale of their sins against those who persecuted and slew His prophets." - 5:11, Epistle of Barnabus

See Danoh, hundreds and hundreds of years before John Nelson Darby invented Dispensationalism, the early church fathers understood that Matt 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13 were fulfilled in 70AD.

Here's another one for you Danoh.

This one's from circa 225AD:

"I challenge anyone to prove my statement untrue if I say that the entire Jewish nation was destroyed less than one whole generation later on account of these sufferings which they inflicted on Jesus. For it was, I believe, forty-two years from the time when they crucified Jesus to the destruction of Jerusalem." - Origen , Contra Celsum, 198-199

I know, I know....."most historians claim" that the accuracy of Origen is considered dubious.

Yet, you can't name one of these alleged historians who isn't a Darby Follower.

ECF my foot. And I was referring to Josephus, whom you mentioned for the umpteenth time.

Likewise for the supposed Barnabus epistle - dubious: not to be relied on; suspect.

Lol, perhaps you took that personally - the shoot fitting as it does :rotfl:

By his own account, Josephus was as lost as a cross between a Roman Catholic and a Jehovah's Witness.

This, given his having clearly misunderstood Romans 1 thru 3.

An Extract Out Of Josephus's Discourse To The Greeks Concerning Hades

6. For all men, the just as well as the unjust, shall be brought before God the word: for to him hath the Father committed all judgment : and he, in order to fulfill the will of his Father, shall come as Judge, whom we call Christ. For Minos and Rhadamanthus are not the judges, as you Greeks do suppose, but he whom God and the Father hath glorified: CONCERNING WHOM WE HAVE ELSEWHERE GIVEN A MORE PARTICULAR ACCOUNT, FOR THE SAKE OF THOSE WHO SEEK AFTER TRUTH.

This person, exercising the righteous judgment of the Father towards all men, hath prepared a just sentence for every one, according to his works; at whose judgment-seat when all men, and angels, and demons shall stand, they will send forth one voice, and say, JUST IS THY JUDGMENT; the rejoinder to which will bring a just sentence upon both parties, by giving justly to those that have done well an everlasting fruition; but allotting to the lovers of wicked works eternal punishment.

To these belong the unquenchable fire, and that without end, and a certain fiery worm, never dying, and not destroying the body, but continuing its eruption out of the body with never-ceasing grief: neither will sleep give ease to these men, nor will the night afford them comfort; death will not free them from their punishment, nor will the interceding prayers of their kindred profit them; for the just are no longer seen by them, nor are they thought worthy of remembrance.

But the just shall remember only their righteous actions, whereby they have attained the heavenly kingdom, in which there is no sleep, no sorrow, no corruption, no care, no night, no day measured by time, no sun driven in his course along the circle of heaven by necessity, and measuring out the bounds and conversions of the seasons, for the better illumination of the life of men; no moon decreasing and increasing, or introducing a variety of seasons, nor will she then moisten the earth; no burning sun, no Bear turning round [the pole], no Orion to rise, no wandering of innumerable stars.

The earth will not then be difficult to be passed over, nor will it he hard to find out the court of paradise, nor will there be any fearful roaring of the sea, forbidding the passengers to walk on it; even that will be made easily passable to the just, though it will not be void of moisture.

Heaven will not then be uninhabitable by men, and it will not be impossible to discover the way of ascending thither.

The earth will not be uncultivated, nor require too much labor of men, but will bring forth its fruits of its own accord, and will be well adorned with them.

There will be no more generations of wild beasts, nor will the substance of the rest of the animals shoot out any more; for it will not produce men, but the number of the righteous will continue, and never fail, together with righteous angels, and spirits [of God], and with his word, as a choir of righteous men and women that never grow old, and continue in an incorruptible state, singing hymns to God, who hath advanced them to that happiness, by the means of a regular institution of life; with whom the whole creation also will lift up a perpetual hymn from corruption, to incorruption, as glorified by a splendid and pure spirit.

It will not then be restrained by a bond of necessity, but with a lively freedom shall offer up a voluntary hymn, and shall praise him that made them, together with the angels, and spirits, and men now freed from all bondage.
