In west Philadelphia born and raised
on a playground where I spent most of my days
.....

Chilling out, maxing, relaxing, all cool
and shooting some b-ball outside of the school
when a couple of guys who were up to no good
started making trouble in my neighborhood
i got in one little fight and my mom got scared
and said you're moving with your auntie and uncle in bel air

PB&J

I passed a sealed zip lock with an uneaten half of a loaded Penut Butter and Jelly sand. I almost ate it; that plantive look-how enticing. Not so much for my hunger, but for its own sake. For PB&J the world-over.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
the license place said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
if anything I could say that this cab was rare
but I thought man forget it, yo homes to Bel Air

Tell Carlton hello. He's my favorite funny, while serious, character.

... the thing that's destroying us isn't reform but the absence of it....
It isn't government's job to provide healthcare. Friends, family and churches should step up to help others.

After the summit, Obama quickly added that he was proceeding regardless of what anyone thinks. I wonder why they all joined him--that was bottom line wasn't it? :idunno:

Others must have been there for the photos.

I think the Republicans had to show up after the challenge to attend ... but I guess they hoped that the American people would be astute enough to see what was going on. I've heard that the President may have hope to get some of them to join him in case his plan failed. We won't know about failure until years from now ... and when it is too late to undo anything.

I don't like national health care ... but I am participating in health care provided for state workers. I love my state insurance policy and believe that States might really be able to work something out... for it's employees and for needy people as they require help. At least if a state messed up ... it wouldn't be the whole country.

I sometimes wonder whether our leaders, especially those that are liberals within the Democrat Party, are really enemies of our nation and of our way of life.
