THE LORD CHOSE ISRAEL

Are you really this stupid?

There is NO evidence in scripture that the Ethiopian enuch in Acts 8 was a gentile.

It is FAR more likely that he was either:
  • a Jew scattered into gentile lands
  • a Jewish proselyte.
lol, theres no evidence that he wasnt nothing but an ethiopian.

Ok, we love double-negatives... but... you've just agreed that scripture does NOT show that he was a gentile... so thanks for finally getting there.
No I dont agree, Scripture called him Ethiopian, not jewish. He may have been a proselyte, but that would not have had any bearing on his ethnicity. I base my conviction on what the scripture says, you dont ! You are basing your opinion on what scripture doesn't say, big difference !

You said that he was a GENTILE.
SCRIPTURE does NOT say that he was a gentile.

LIAR
Scripture does NOT say he's a gentile and YET your "conviction" was that he was a gentile.

You are basing your opinion on what scripture doesn't say, big difference !
LIAR again.
Scripture does NOT say that he was a gentile and it was much more likely that he was NOT a gentile.

What you also CANNOT find in Acts 8 is the preaching of the cross for salvation.

Yes the evidence said that he was ethiopian. Philip preached to him Jesus, that is the cross.

Just look at you kids, all dirty from playing in the mud, name calling, all over a couple of meaningless points.

I gave you the definitive facts and you decided to wallow in the muck. Oink Oink.

This is about the Church, the Body of Christ. Gentiles are grafted into it Rom 11 and Eph 2-3

The Church is the New Israel.

Gentiles are not grafted, because there is no Jew or Gentile in Christ (Galatians 3:28).

The Church, the New Israel, is the Family of God. We are the Father's sons and daughters by adoption through the New Covenant.

Talk about misinterpreting!! the "New Israel".... Hilarious.

You are a Biblical ignoramus obviously. No news there.

Israel was not merely a nation or some tribes. They were a huge family, the family of God. From Abraham all the way to the 12 tribes and the Kindom, the Israelites knew their fathers all the way up to the father of their trube.

They were the people of God.
They were the family of God.

Now the family of God are all who God "Father". We are all adopted sons of the father.

He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will. Ephesians 1:5

Now the Church is the People of God, the Family of God, the New Israel.

Real Christians acknowledge that the Church is spiritual Israel, the “new Israel”. This is indicated in Paul’s writings: In Romans 9:6 he says that “not all who are of Israel are Israel.” This indicates the existence of two Israels. One—”all who are of Israel”—indicates the ethnic people, not all of whom believe in Jesus. The other Israel, the context reveals, does not include those who have rejected the Messiah. This new Israel, founded by Messiah, exists in spiritual continuity with the Old Testament saints and so counts as a “spiritual Israel.” It includes Gentiles who believe in the Messiah and so through baptism are spiritually circumcised (Col. 2:11–12) and are reckoned as spiritual Jews (Rom. 2:26–29).

In his letter to the Ephesians Paul is even more explicit about the Gentiles’ spiritual inclusion when he states that “you Gentiles in the flesh . . . were once separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel . . . But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near . . . So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints” (2:11–13, 19).

There is a little lesson for you

Your childish antics are so cute to us mature people.
The Church is the New Israel.
Total fantasy. There is NO "new Israel" described anywhere in scripture.
There is ISRAEL and there is the BODY OF CHRIST.
Gentiles are not grafted, because there is no Jew or Gentile in Christ (Galatians 3:28).
No kidding. There is ALSO no "new Israel".
The Church, the New Israel, is the Family of God. We are the Father's sons and daughters by adoption through the New Covenant.
You can continue to fantasize if you like.

Your arrogant ranting does not impress.

The body of Christ is a NEW CREATURE per Paul. It is NOT "new Israel".

That is not the question. The question is: HOW did he preach Jesus?

He did NOT preach Jesus in the way that Paul preaches Jesus.
Yes he did. There's only one way to preach Jesus. Also Philip preached from Isa 53:7 that is in the context of Christ death. Read Isa 53:1-12.

Good ... sometimes you believe truth.
There's only one way to preach Jesus.
Utter nonsense on your part.

Paul says this: "according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began".

That makes no sense unless there is a preaching of Jesus Christ according to something else besides "the revelation of the mystery.

You, unfortunately, do NOT understand Paul's gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery.

Also Philip preached from Isa 53:7 that is in the context of Christ death. Read Isa 53:1-12.
Again... no REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY there.

Abraham was a chosen individual. The Israelites would subsequently develop a nationalist, theological "chosen people" arrogance which blinded and confused them concerning their true spiritual mission.

The mission was spiritual and so it was never national physical israel mission. It was the spiritual Israel mission and they were faithful, the writers of the law and prophets mainly who the physical national Israel persecuted.
