Plenty of Catholics have been burned at the stake by Protestants too what's your pointWilliam Tyndale never converted to Catholicism so the Catholic prelates had him burned at the stake.

Catholics and protestants who burned others at the stake over religious differences obviously did not know what spirit they were of. They were infidels in their own corrupt right.Plenty of Catholics have been burned at the stake by Protestants too what's your point
They didn't believe in the right to religious liberty.Catholics and protestants who burned others at the stake over religious differences obviously did not know what spirit they were of. They were infidels in their own corrupt right.
Luke 9:55
But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
To be more specific, they did not know and did not believe God.They didn't believe in the right to religious liberty.
I think I was more specific. It was an error of politics, an error of political morality. They believed that because their victims did not confess the same creed, that they were inferior and that meant they didn't have the same rights, among them the right to religious liberty. And the right to not be executed. To be more specific, they did not know and did not believe God.
The murderer who murders his victim because of religious doctrinal differences is of his father the devil.I think I was more specific. It was an error of politics, an error of political morality. Agreed! Because nobody murders for that reason. This is just one of the excuses that murderers give for their murdering. Of course it's not justified. Our rights are all those excuses that murderers give for murdering that is not a valid justification. Self-defense of course is a valid justification, which is why killing in self-defense is not murder. The murderer who murders his victim because of religious doctrinal differences is of his father the devil.
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Sin could not have had being into Gods World, opposite to His Divine will and purpose, it’s being must be a effect of the sovereign purpose of God !
The eternal councils of God have ever had an eye to the everlasting righteousness and to the everlasting redemption of the everlasting Son of the Father. Redemption is no new thought with God—no expedient to snatch the world from an unexpected accident—no patching up of a broken-down purpose.
God reconciled the world unto Himself so that He could forgive sinners of their sins without being guilty of perverting judgment and justice. Just because God made it possible for Him to justly forgive sins by Jesus' death on the cross does not mean God is obligated to save every sinner on earth, especially if salvation is not based on any just reason related to the sinner's response to the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. The Redemption Christ obtained for His People is Eternal Heb 9:12
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Time as we know it is swallowed up in eternity. This redemption acquired by Christ was in the eternal mind and purpose of God before one grain of sand was created, even before the foundation of the world. Notice what Peter wrote about the precious redeeming blood of the Lamb 1 Pet 1:18-20
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
This world wasnt created without the thoughts of the coming redeemer of Gods People, this purpose was set in stone from everlasting Micah 5:2
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Prov 8:23
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was
Isa 63:16
Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O Lord, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
Charles Spurgeon wrote in a sermon of his:
This earth was created for a redemptive purpose centered in the Lamb slain from the foundation !
