The coronavirus scam

How does "Jefferson" explain today's release of Bob Woodward's book "Rage," and the audio tapes from the 18 interviews that clearly establish that this President knew COVID-19 represented a major threat to the nation - but was willing to play "Russian Roulette" with their lives by deliberately misrepresenting its significance?

In this President's own words, what he was saying in private to Woodward totally contradicts the version he was telling the American public - that COVID-19 was more of a nuisance than a threat, comparing it to the flu!,

Dr. Fauci’s defense of President Trump just ended the Bob Woodward news cycle

Not hardly. Woodward has Trump on tape, and Trump even admitted today that he'd downplayed the threat to the nation:

President Trump on Wednesday acknowledged that he downplayed the novel coronavirus earlier this year, arguing that he wanted to "reduce panic" about the spreading disease by publicly minimizing its threat.

Trump's remarks to reporters came as he faced renewed scrutiny over his handling of the pandemic following the release of audio recordings of his interviews with Bob Woodward for the journalist's new book.

In the recordings, the president privately acknowledged that COVID-19 was "deadly" in early February, despite publicly dismissing concerns about the virus around that time.

"If you said in order to reduce panic, perhaps that's so," Trump said Wednesday afternoon when asked if he downplayed the virus or misled the public to avoid panic.

The truth will out...

Hmm, Biden sounds far from suffering from dementia on this should any troll decide to play that stupid card again. Trump sounds like what he is, a self serving narcissist who had no business being president...Brian Tyler Cohen's assessment is none too shoddy either.

Well, yes, he is. Given that he apparently knew just how destructive this virus was, he could have done a damn sight more about it. Instead he not only downplayed it but "liked" to do so too.

Still, all okay with you is it? Your president doesn't give a solitary whit about you and yet you'll still sing his praises like some dumb sycophant regardless, won't you?

:sigh:

like senile old Joe, you don't have a clue what that might have been

heck, you don't even understand the power dynamics in NYS that led the NYC Mayor, DeBlasio, to defy the NYS Governor, Cuomo, in his eagerness to thumb his nose at Trump. Kung Flu in the US was and still is, a phenomenon of poor leadership in Metro NYC and weak leadership in Albany.

He's blatantly not senile and in much better control of his faculties than your "very stable genius" who continues to embarrass himself on a continual basis.

Hey, you be a fawning dope for Trump if you want. He handled Covid-19 badly from the get go and with these latest revelations, deliberately so. Still, MAGA!

Dimwit.

it's obvious when he's speaking ad hoc with no teleprompter

the first debate will be the end of his campaign

Not if you have any understanding of body language or tone of voice it isn't. But hey, Trump really cares about you and that's what matters, right?

You missed the best part of that interview: Tom Wolf's reaction when Joe Biden farted on national TV.
