Works Salvation !
2 Corinthians 5:20

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

The Bible does teach this verse but it does not teach works salvation just as it does not teach limited atonement based upon God's supposed hatred of humans for being born in sin.

I have no problem with that verse, it compliments my teaching on reconciliation. Its you who dont understand it, for you teach salvation/reconciliation by works, and not te death of Christ.

And in 2 Cor 2:18 the BODY OF CHRIST is given the MINISTRY of RECONCILIATION .

I have yet to see that PETER was ever given that MINISTRY , or do you have a verse , for Peter ?

Reconciled to God by Jesus Christ !

2 Cor 5:18

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

If we are reconciled to God, let it be clear, its because of God, for all things are of God ! He did it by Jesus Christ ! You know by nature we are at enmity against God with wicked minds as per Col 1:21

21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

Our minds naturally are alienated and estranged from God. However God through the Work of Christ for us, grants to us a new mind and heart that reconciles us to Himself. He by Christs gives us a change of mind, repentance, faith. The natural mind that has been estranged is subdued by Gods Grace and Spirit through Jesus Christ, Christ brings us to God , that's the experience of reconciliation. 1 Pet 3:18

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Objective reconciliation makes certain the subjective reconciliation of the elect in time. Reconciliation is a phenomenal truth, but it is greatly unintelligible to most ! Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Those reconciled by Christ's Death objectively, were put in the favor of God even while we were at enmity with Him; meaning before our faith, believing, or repenting. So as a result, being Justified subjectively in New Birth, our Hope increases as we experience God's Love and Grace !

Was Peter not given the charge to preach the Gospel to every creature? If he was then he no doubt taught every man the need to be reconciled to God.

Mark 16

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

The error so many Calvinists have fallen into is the misinterpretation of some verses in the Bible that cause them to totally ignore or reject other verses. For that, they are guilty of false doctrine. God is not willing that any should perish and has no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
Ezekiel 33:11
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

All other verses are true and interpreted properly as well so long as they support and do not contradict other verses. Yes, the elect are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, but no, that does not mean that God has pleasure in refusing to allow the rest any opportunity of salvation.

God has no pleasure in the death of His wicked elect Israelites but has great pleasure in denying billions of sinners any opportunity of forgiveness and salvation whatsoever? That is grossly untrue.

Sorry, its for Gods Elect Israel, not everyone !

The Great blessing of objective legal reconciliation is the fact its a legal finished act of God before any of the elect believe. This fact is denied by most today !

All for whom Christ by His death hath legally and objectively reconciled to God, even while they are unbelievers, the Blessing of that is because, their sins God will not lay to their charge,2 Cor 5:19 because Christ by His death hath taken them out the way, Col 2:13-14

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

The Calvinist/Reformed pov around here consistently says that the "elect" were chosen before the world was created. As no people existed at that time just how could these people have ever been in rebellion against God? How could they have ever been enemies of God? Their wills were never free to rebel against God. God had already made their "choice" for them.

The only way this idea makes any sense at all is from the point of free will.

Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Those whom Christ by His Death alone, reconciled to God, even while unbelieving enemies, much more, they whom are so reconciled as enemies, shall be saved by His Life, their eternal salvation is secured.

These also whom are reconciled to God while enemies/unbelievers, Christ not only died for them as such, but rose again and is in heaven making intercession for them, even while unbelieving enemies. Rom 8:34

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

So we know by this that Christs death has limited effects, and wasn't for all men, those who are never saved !

Mans religion oppose this truth of Christs reconciling death and saving life, and teach to the contrary, that many for whom Christ died, shall not be saved by His Life, and perish in their unbelief and sins ! Thats in direct opposition to the word of truth in Rom 5:10 !
