The only way to faithe into Christ is " personally surrendering our lives to Him , and living a life inspired by such surrender ...."

All of which requires OBEDIENCE!! AND can only begin when you are birthed from above by the Holy Spirit Who then tutors using situations and trials and temptations to prove your faithfulness. They are the means by which God permits for exacting your faith unto sonship in the Father. Jesus was no exception. "He learned obedience by the things He suffered".

What is interesting in your above is you are giving credit to your act of surrender.

Warning to all those seeking Christ !

This thread explains what true NT Faith and faithing are . If there's interest in how this true NT Faith and faithing are applied at the start of the Salvation journey , give a reply saying so .

If you hear things like Faith and faithing come from God doing it for us , obedience , believing , RUN !!!!!

The only way to faithe into Christ is " personally surrendering our lives to Him , and living a life inspired by such surrender ...."

Surrendering our lives to God is a big decision , very scary to say the least . What will happen to my life ? how will God taking it over affect my friends , my family ?

This is the real leap of faithing .

The first time we surrender our lives to God is very important .

Pisteuo or faithing being two specific continual actions , after we submit to God our first surrendered life , it's imparitive we follow it up with potentially every daily decision . Not perfectly but genuinely making every decision , filtered through the fact , our lives are not ours anymore but His now

At this beginning state of the Salvation journey , we are simply "faithing " with the hope Christ will accept the surrendered life as genuine , then moving us ahead to the next phase of the journey .

At this beginning state , we do not have the Holy Spirit sealed in us yet . Therefore , Christ , His word , or the promises in His word are not ours to claim yet .

The first step being one needs to be born again?

Re Gal 2:20 KJV, Paul had already been born again and completed the 2nd step viz baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Who is it that makes dead men alive?
One cannot be "born again" by their own efforts...because you are spiritually DEAD!
In Galatians 2:20 Paul is saying that he has been crucified with Christ, nevertheless he lives. Yet not himself, it is Christ who lives within him. And the life he lived, he lived by faith in the Son of God who loved him and gave himself for Paul.
It is ALL GOD doing the work in us. There is no prerequisite, no meritorious factors that God requires before God makes dead men alive in Christ. God does so by His Sovereign will, by His Sovereign choice, without any requirement from humans. How could God require a dead man to do something to give him life?
When God makes us alive in Christ, God adopts us, God justifies us, God baptizes us, God sanctifies us. God does it all by His amazing grace. You are the product of His amazing work, you cannot boast in ANYTHING you have done because you haven't done anything.

No one is disputing that.

God says "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind". this is surrendering condition.

You are preaching we already know.

You mean one can't be redeeemed by his own effort!

The KJV points up the need for the Holy Spirit in the mix. Get a more truthful translation, one that doesn't read man can live without Him. Seems you have a contradiction to deal with.

It is ALL GOD doing the work in us.

I seriously doubt God could ever go against your will.

Yeah, yeah, and you're going to get a white horse if you get to heaven and rule and reign with Christ over the nations, and all while never having to surrender your earthbound life to Him Who calls you to Himself while you are still breathing in this one. Well, on second thought, you can't do that because you aren't born again.

When God makes us alive in Christ, God adopts us, God justifies us, God baptizes us, God sanctifies us. God does it all by His amazing grace.

God Adopts sons not babies. Even Jesus was adopted. Scripturally speaking, you don't make the cut. You don't have His DNA living in you.

You are the product of His amazing work, you cannot boast in ANYTHING you have done because you haven't done anything.

For His Redeeming me, you are absolutely correct. Jesus set me free from the sin stain of Adam when He died on the cross. For His saving Grace; for His New Birth, You're all wet. Both are my choices to make. That is the way scripture explains it. That is the way IT MUST BE for my love *TO Him and His LOVE *TO ME be of any value in eternity. "Choose this day whom you will serve" . .Joshua, remember?

*Love in action (cf John 17:3 any translation).

This thread is focused only on the faithing part of the Salvation process . In no way does pisteuo or faithing take away one iotta of the "" finished "" work of Christ .

This is the start of the life Christianity encompasses in a nutshell , deny self , take up your cross , and follow Him.

Adam couldn't do it and you can't either unless you are born again as in discipleship. No power without it and flesh isn't strong enough. Look what happened to Peter when he tried.

Denying self is practiced not only by continually fulfilling pisteuo , or a continually surrendered life , we deny ourselves for a reason . The reason is to bless others with what God gives us , instead of serving ourselves with God's blessings.

Taking up our Cross can encompass many things . But the main theme of taking up our Cross is to bear other people's cross. Helping others with their needs . Like the man who helped Jesus carry His. Cross at Calvary .

And follow Him , maintaining a life of surrender to Him , as He did with the Father on high. Surrendering , trusting , relying upon , committing unto Him no matter what happens , no matter what things look like around us .

Just to verify , we are saved " by Grace , through Faith ."

Grace was done and is being done by the only one capable of doing it , God , our Lord Jesus Christ .

Grace is the overflow of the Nature of God. Coupled with the faith of a human initializes his salvation. Counting the cost to know God in an intimate way, the way Jesus knew Him, is the way to son-ship as Paul experienced Him (Gal 2:20 KJV) and as we are to follow suit per (John 1:12 KJV)

" Through Faith " is how we receive this unmerited favor, the Grace deposit , or Holy Spirit . The application of which is pisteuo , or faithing in the English .

I have to assume you know the word heresy. You are 'dancing' on it. . . . Mary was highly favored and was chosen because she was highly favored.

Question: What "work" did Jesus perform and complete before going to the cross? Do you know; have you ever thought about it?

As we continue surrendering our lives to God , if God deems the surrendered life genuine , he then moved us into the testing ground or parable of the sower where 3 out of 4 surrendered lives will fail.

I won't go into how or what the testing will encompass . After all , it is testing . This state of being in the testing ground is the start of the grafting process .

If you've ever drive the 5 freeway in northern California , you'll see miles of walnut trees . These walnut trees have black walnut stumps and white walnut branches . They became like this from a white walnut sprig being grafted onto a back Walnut sprig when they were first starting to grow . The most important part of the grafting process is the very start , when the black and white walnut springs have just been put together .

It is the same with us grafting into Christ .

GOD is required to make that happen. Only GOD makes dead men come to life.
It's all God, CR. Give God some props!
God required?? And Jesus' many disciples forsook Him after He did what was require of Him? According to you that would be impossible. (John 6:66 KJV)
Here is a perfect example of your incompetence in reading comprehension.
Who else will make a person alive if God chooses not to make them alive?
Therefore God is required in order for life to be given to a dead man.
But, you knew this. You just pretzeled my statement in an attempt to get around the reality that God alone gives life to the dead by his choice. If God does not choose to make a person alive, that person will NEVER make themselves alive.
You run from God, CR. You don't have any connection to God or Christ. Sadly you are not in Christ. You are still dead in your trespasses and sins.
