"Case growth was independent of mandates at low and high rates of community spread, and mask use did not predict case growth during the Summer or Fall-Winter waves."

Methods: We calculated total COVID-19 case growth and mask use for the continental United States with data from
16 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. We estimated post-
17 mask mandate case growth in non-mandate states using median issuance dates of neighboring states with mandates.
18 Results: Case growth was not significantly different between mandate and non-mandate states at low or high
19 transmission rates, and surges were equivocal. Mask use predicted lower case growth at low, but not high
20 transmission rates. Growth rates were comparable between states in the first and last mask use quintiles adjusted for
21 normalized total cases early in the pandemic and unadjusted after peak Fall-Winter infections. Mask use did not
22 predict Summer 2020 case growth for non-Northeast states or Fall-Winter 2020 growth for all continental states.
23 Conclusions: Mask mandates and use are not associated with slower state-level COVID-19 spread during COVID-19 growth surges

There is a brand new study out by a university in Kentucky. It shows that masks have not shown any positive results since the coronavirus panic began. It's all a head game to implant fear in people and create submission due to that fear.

This study has not yet been peer reviewed as it was just published two days ago.

Like I keep saying:

Masks are the new tin-foil hats.
masks are a global example of how the mark of the beast is going to go
when the left becomes completely unhinged they do strange things

Rev 13:16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,
Rev 13:17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Oh good grief...

So I wear a mask when I go shopping, primarily to protect other people as it goes. There's some unhinged stuff going on here alright but not where you might 'think'...

Yet the number of colds and flu were significantly down this past winter. Hmmmmm, maybe there is something to be said about prohibiting the spread of germs.

No, they're just one of the protective measures when in the midst of a pandemic.

...which have never before been pushed to be used as much as they have been in any pandemic previously where quarantining the sick and allowing the healthy to go about their lives as usual has been the standard for the past 3500 years...

Tin-foil hat indeed.

There's no 'tin foil hattery' about it. They're prudent measures taken to reduce the curb of transmission while in the face of a global pandemic, that's it.

Well, this is what happens when there's a new virus kicking about and stuff has to be put in place to try and restrict its transmission and curb its growth etc. Honestly, what is such the big deal with wearing a mask? Using hand sanitiser more often, having some social distancing in the midst of such?

It's not tin foil hat at all. That measure wouldn't work...

Why is it so hard to get it into your head that this sort of thing has never before been pushed to be used as much as it has in this one whereas in any pandemic previously quarantining the sick and allowing the healthy to go about their lives as usual has been the standard for the past 3500 years...?

Tin-foil hat indeed.

Uh, because it's a completely new strain of virus that's become pandemic? One where infection can occur when asymptomatic etc? One that's cost hundreds of thousands of lives even with safety measures in place?

Has the whole world gone "tin foil hat" because they take the threat of it seriously in your opinion?

I'm gonna still wear a mask when I go shopping. I'm gonna use hand sanitiser stations when doing the same and I'm gonna keep a fair distance apart from other shoppers also.

I'll take my "tin foil hat" off when I get back home...

Uh, because it's a completely new strain of virus that's become pandemic?

New viruses, strains, show up all the time. What makes this one that much different where this sort of thing has to be pushed to be used as much as it has in this instance whereas previously, quarantining the sick and allowing the healthy to go about their lives as usual has been the standard for the past 3500 years...?

Tin-foil hat indeed.

One where infection can occur when asymptomatic etc?

So what?

According to Fauci:

"The one thing historically that people need to realize, that even if there is some asymptomatic transmission, in all the history of respiratory borne viruses of any type, asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks"

And also according to Fauci:

"The driver of outbreaks is always a symptomatic person, even if there's a rare asymptomatic person that might transmit, an epidemic is not driven by asymptomatic carriers."

One that's cost hundreds of thousands of lives even with safety measures in place?

Rather it's BECAUSE of the "safety measures" that so many have died, even more people than who had the covid.

I'll take my "tin foil hat" off when I get back home...

I'm glad you're finally admitting that the mask is just another tin-foil hat!

Admission is the first step to recovery!

Yes, they do but not to the point of a pandemic and a crisis as we've seen this past year. Covid is not just some case of mild flu as some like to downplay it. It's cost hundreds of thousands of lives.

Your utterly simplistic tropes regarding 'quarantining the sick' etc is absolute ignorance in relation.

I've admitted no such thing as you describe but eh, kinda used to stuff that I've not actually done being flung my way nowadays on here...

Yes, they do but not to the point of a pandemic and a crisis as we've seen this past year.

Which was exacerbated by the masks, lockdowns, and other draconian measures.

Covid . . . has cost hundreds of thousands of lives.

More so because of the lockdowns.

Your utterly simplistic tropes regarding 'quarantining the sick' etc is absolute ignorance in relation.

The guidelines for infectious diseases and health practices found in Leviticus 13-15 are "utterly simplistic tropes" and "absolute ignorance?"

Noting was 'exacerbated' by masks other than a reduction of transmission and some unfortunate side effects such as folk getting wound up about such measures with no good reason.

Lockdowns are certainly more serious and nobody makes light of them, at all. I sure don't.

Your latter, erm, nope. Does Leviticus mention toothpaste and antibiotics at all? No, it doesn't as far as I'm aware so it's not some yardstick to go to when discussing politics is it?

Fear of the virus was.

Lockdowns kill people. They aren't a solution to the problem.

Does Leviticus mention toothpaste and antibiotics at all?

Why would it mention something that didn't exist yet? And what does that have any relevance to what I asked? Don't change the subject.

Do you assert that the guidelines for infectious diseases and health practices found in Leviticus 13-15 are "utterly simplistic tropes" and "absolute ignorance"?
