Ah, when times were simpler! How are you doing, buddy?? Haven't heard from you for a bit and am wondering how things are going. I hope that you're doing excellent and are in good health indeed!! How is your mother? The same, I hope!! I hope she still is up to snuff!! That must make you around 70? What do you know. I am about 60. I will be 59 years old this coming Sunday!! Eeeek!! Who would have THOUGHT!!! It astounds me. I am ready now for any shocks or unlikely things to happen to me. I never thought I would actually live this long. What a trip!! Remember the good ol' days, Al??!! I went and saw the movie "Left Behind." You would like it, if it plays in Isle of Wight! Have you been keeping up with the old gang, our buddies, noguru, hedshaker, gcthomas, and now, Barbarian, etc. Whatever happened to DavisBJ??

I'm thinking of getting a lifetime member for $500, not because I plan on sticking around for that long, but because I want to donate. Prob. sometimes next week, you will see it. What's been happening? How are you doing? Haven't heard from you for awhile. That's a bummer!! Had a pool party a week ago, and we jammed down also. I don't know if you can relate because you're into a different kind of music, but I did a song by Stevie Nicks (Gold Dust Woman), a song by Elton John (Daniel), and 10,000 Maniacs (These Are Days), also Cat Stevens (Peace Train). We each take turns singing a song.

Oh well, I've gone off-topic. But there's some things to talk about besides Creation and Evolution. Will get back to the subject though.

Well, I guess you can all realize by now that Creation by God is true and evolution is not the way nor true. 6days showed how the Flood was not a local flood during Noah's time, but instead a global flood. What more do you want?? I have had this post for months now and evolution has had it's chances to prove itself. It has lost. So I have to rule in favor of Creationism. Case adjourned!!

Today I took my mother to buy an "electric chair", it cost nearly £900, or $1453.50 in your money.
What I mean by "electric chair" is a chair with an electric motor, a riser/recliner, not a chair of death, to be clear.

Michael I do not think your confused ramblings or 6days has settled anything in regard to science. You are certainly free to think whatever it is you need to think. But all people are not as easily fooled as you or 6days.

Also as I have pointed out many, many, many... times to you; evolution does not negate the existence of God. It is only in the confused minds of people like you and 6days where they become mutually exclusive. I thank God there a lot of people out there who are not as confused as you and 6days.

Yes, Alwight, I just love DFTDave. He is on my Friend's Wall. He is always refreshing TBH. And a great guy to boot! Hope he comes back soon. Maybe he is a seasonal guy. That being the case, winter is coming soon and he may be back when that happens. New York City is notorious for ice cold winters. It's surrounded by water and that wind blows over those iced-over waters, and it is horrid. I know. I lived on Manhattan and also Staten Island. EeeeeeeeK!!

I'm glad to hear that you are keeping busy. I can see now how you can still ride a bicycle and get exercise. You're younger than I thought. You are wise for your age!! I do hope that it is the Lord drawing you to Him, and the angels working in your life now. You have so much love to give inside that I can't imagine the Lord passing you by this time around. Yes, only time will tell.

No, a creation came a thousand or more years before this global flood occurred. It's okay. For someone who has never been taught the Bible, you are doing well. Also I must mention here that your Mom's electric cart was a good price. I have to use an electric cart when I go to the supermarket sometimes when my plantarfaciitis acts up. It hurts my heels so badly to walk sometimes. It cripples me. I've even got a disability placard for my car (to hang from the rear view mirror). I have to take pain pills for it.

Noguru, I am open to other things necessarily. I will find out when God tells me different. I used to believe differently. You'd know that if you ever read a copy of my book. There's still time. The old version is still on the internet here. I plan on a new 7th Edition within a month or two. Can't you understand that, if God can create Adam as a young man, instead of a little baby, well then He can create an Earth and Heavens, as older than they really are. There is not an easy way to explain this to you. I'm sure when He created dinosaurs, that He didn't just make dinosaur eggs, but created the dinosaurs as young dinosaurs who would lay eggs later. Do you understand what I am saying here, noguru?

I do know that you believe evolution does not negate the existence of God. But noguru, can you also understand that God is still working in this Earth and in this Universe? I am sure that every genome or atom, or neutron, is caused or allowed by God to change, according to His Will. That means no evolution. God doesn't need evolution. He has Himself!! Don't sell Him short. Do you see how He makes each snowflake a new creation?? Surely, there must be more than one snowflake that matches others? I would just hate having to be the one to find that evidence.

You're wrong Michael, I went to Christian faith schools and was taught the Bible, but thankfully I wasn't taught creationist nonsense, nor that the world was only a few thousand years old.
Also I was talking about an electric riser/recliner chair, not a buggy/cart for my mother.:nono:
I'd blame evolution for all the aches and pains we humans get, not the mythical Adam & Eve.
Evidence instead shows that the Earth is billions of years old and that there is no evidence of any global flood, so I tend to think that is much more likely to be true than a literal Genesis.

Archaeologists? Yeah, that sounds right. You mean "paleontologists" or maybe "geologists?"

The last time some creationists identified "flood sediments" at the Grand Canyon, they included layers that had forests and deserts in it. Hard to figure out how they had time to form in the middle of a flood.

I didn't normally go to church as I recall, but in school it was assumed that God created everything naturalistically. But whole creatures suddenly appearing out of thin air wasn't something other than far-fetched allegory and myth, Noah's Ark was just a fairy tale. I don't think the OT creation was ever presented as historical fact when I was at school.

Just because I don't accept that stories from the Bible are literally true doesn't mean that I haven't read or been told them as a child Michael.
In fact I vaguely remember being told about Job in school who was meant to be an inspiration to us all presumably, why I don't know.:idunno:
However after reading Job for myself in later life, not the sanitised kid's version, I realised what a nasty tale it was. Job's family got killed on a whim perhaps by Satan using God's powers, but in the end it was all made OK for Job for not blaming God, who got a new replacement family apparently. Nice.
What a load of nonsense, just put up with being bullied and tormented by God and if you aren't killed in the process, and happen to be the main character of a "just-so" story then God will replace everything he took away with new versions.

There have been many floods and ice ages Michael, just never a global flood. Sedimentary rock layers are seen all over the world each contains fossil evidence peculiar to its time as predicted by and in keeping with Darwin's Theory. Creationist claims are codswallop Michael, Genesis is largely allegorical, not historically true.

Michael, there is no music that I am into or not into on a professional level. Personally I may favour some genre's over others but when it comes to production (the art of sound as it were), which is what I do, my sole concern regarding tracking, mixing and mastering is to try to make it sound the best it can. The music is always the same but sonically it can be perceived as larger than life which in turn enhances the music, see? It may seem like magic to the uninitiated but there is a great deal of science involved.

Oh well, I've gone off-topic. But there's some things to talk about besides Creation and Evolution. Will get back to the subject though.
