Archaeologists? Yeah, that sounds right. You mean "paleontologists" or maybe "geologists?"

The last time some creationists identified "flood sediments" at the Grand Canyon, they included layers that had forests and deserts in it. Hard to figure out how they had time to form in the middle of a flood.

Dear Barbarian,

Yes, they might have been geologists. Sorry about that. No, I believe the layer I'm talking about was like silt, and black. Can't remember, it's been awhile.

Any input from you about that layer would be useful!

Perhaps an Evolutionist would like to explain, why they believe that a Fig Wasp Would not change anatomically for Supposedly over 35 Million years; and yet they also believe that Apes and Man Evolved from the Same Ape-Like being, in less than Five?

http://www.leeds.ac.uk/news/article...fossil_proves_that_if_it_works_dont_change_it

That however, is not the Oldest Unchanged modern looking Bee that was Trapped in Amber; instead it's just the oldest modern Fig Wasp to be found, and Identified thus Far.
On another Note; Remember from that Movie Jurassic Park, that the Mosquito has remained unchanged, since there were still dinosaurs roaming the Earth. Interesting, It's almost like things don't evolve and stay fully unchanged anatomically for the entire time they Exist; and the Theory of Evolution is just a theory which has no actual Evidence Backing it up. The Facts are in, we have been Documenting Fossil finds for over 2000 years, and not one of them have proven that a Modern animal Descended from a State of More Simple/ Less Complex forms of Animals, Which contained Less than Modern anatomy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleontology

From above Link;

'Paleontological observations have been documented as far back as the 5th century BC. The science became established in the 18th century as a result of Georges Cuvier's work on comparative anatomy, and developed rapidly in the 19th century. The term itself originates from Greek παλαιός, palaios, i.e. "old, ancient", ὄν, on (gen. ontos), i.e. "being, creature" and λόγος, logos, i.e. "speech, thought, study".'

=M=

Also, Three Other simple to understand Questions;

When do you believe the First Fruit tree Formed?

What kind of Fruit was it?
Or, Have Fruit trees always Contained the Same Form of Fruit that their Modern Descendants do Today?

I mean, if you really believe that the Modern Fig wasp dates all the way back to 35 Million years ago, there must have also Existed at the Time, the Specific Figs which are Pollinated by wasps around that Period, Also; Given Logic, Right Evols?

PS.

Not all Figs are Pollinated by Wasps; In fact, most of the main cultivars which are mass produced for consumption by the Public are not pollinated by these specific types of wasps.

Here is some more information on Fig trees;

Varieties of fig are parthenocarpic and do not require pollination; these varieties are not visited by fig wasps.
The Fig trees I grow here at Home don't need Pollination by the Fig Wasp, which is why I know this.

Cold Fig;

ColdHardyFig_220.jpg

Finally;

Why do Evolutionists believe Man is the Only Modern Living Thing, that didn't Exist Five Million Years ago?

It's because their theory is obviously Wrong, and can Be Proven so, when Considering the Fossil Record.

I didn't normally go to church as I recall, but in school it was assumed that God created everything naturalistically. But whole creatures suddenly appearing out of thin air wasn't something other than far-fetched allegory and myth, Noah's Ark was just a fairy tale. I don't think the OT creation was ever presented as historical fact when I was at school.

Oh, Alwight, it's okay that you don't believe. It's all a matter of choice for each person, wherever they feel best. Seems we discussed the creation as it happened in the Bible, including Noah's Ark being a fact.

Just because I don't accept that stories from the Bible are literally true doesn't mean that I haven't read or been told them as a child Michael.
In fact I vaguely remember being told about Job in school who was meant to be an inspiration to us all presumably, why I don't know.:idunno:
However after reading Job for myself in later life, not the sanitised kid's version, I realised what a nasty tale it was. Job's family got killed on a whim perhaps by Satan using God's powers, but in the end it was all made OK for Job for not blaming God, who got a new replacement family apparently. Nice.
What a load of nonsense, just put up with being bullied and tormented by God and if you aren't killed in the process, and happen to be the main character of a "just-so" story then God will replace everything he took away with new versions.

I do know how you feel Alwight. God was with David when he slew Goliath (a giant) with a stone and slingshot. Sounds farfetched, but it did happen. The Bible doesn't say only good things. It says bad things to, like Job's dilemma. God did that with Job to teach all generations that follow about how to have patience and faith, and loyalty, etc., no matter what. It also says that the firstborn of Egypt's children would be killed by the angel of death also, because the Pharaoh would not listen to Moses, who was led by God, re letting the Hebrews out of slavery. Kind of tame considering what happened to Job. It's all for a reason and we'll find out when that time comes.

I'm glad you know both sides. It's cool!!

There have been many floods and ice ages Michael, just never a global flood. Sedimentary rock layers are seen all over the world each contains fossil evidence peculiar to its time as predicted by and in keeping with Darwin's Theory. Creationist claims are codswallop Michael, Genesis is largely allegorical, not historically true.

Only God knows for sure! I know I'll find out soon enough. I've been visited by angels a few times and they had different messages to say about other things besides the flood or Darwin, and Creation. But, boy, do I believe in God!! I can hardly wait until Jesus returns. Wait for it! BAM!! It will happen with no warning except what's been given and what is to come yet.

You've always been such a dear friend and I HATE to DEBATE with you!! I thought I would make up that rhyme, to boot (for the heck of it). Thanks for letting me know your feelings about it all, alwight!

Warm Regards,

Michael

Michael, so far in my life about 90% of the confused people I have met are certain that they are not confused. Or at least they tried to convince me of that. Yet their subsequent words and actions belie their claim that they are not confused.

Dear noguru,

I know I made a mistake about geologists. It was someone who studies the layers of the earth. I'm not as confused as you think I am. I just made a mistake between archaeology and geology. The thing is, I thought they were archaeologists because they were researching the Flood. But now that I think back, I remember that they were really geologists. It's been years since I watched the program. National Geographic, I think (the show).

Now noguru, are you trying to tell me that ALL of the life on Earth developed from one single organism?? Are you saying that God did not create the whales in the ocean or the birds in the sky? It doesn't say that God created their eggs, it says that He created them. Now, seeing He says it was in 6 days, who are we to argue with the Creator?? How do we know He didn't make the Earth older too? You know, like He created Adam as a young man instead of a Baby. Likewise, he could have created Earth to appear older, if He chose. We cannot say what happened back then, because we weren't there. So don't get upset with what we are, because we don't know for sure yet. If you want to believe in Creation AND evolution, fine. I just don't share that passion, though I used to. To My Good Buddy!!

Plenty is happening Michael.

I'm good Michael but busy, which is also good.

Michael, there is no music that I am into or not into on a professional level. Personally I may favour some genre's over others but when it comes to production (the art of sound as it were), which is what I do, my sole concern regarding tracking, mixing and mastering is to try to make it sound the best it can. The music is always the same but sonically it can be perceived as larger than life which in turn enhances the music, see? It may seem like magic to the uninitiated but there is a great deal of science involved.

Yes, this post is completely off topic, but you asked for it.

I'm lucky to have good ears for someone my age so I think I probably will.

All the best.

PS: Almost forgot the important bit. Creationism is daft. Evolution is backed up by sound evidence. No getting around it :)

I am glad that a lot is happening. It helps the time fly by. Yes, I've seen you create sound and I think it's wonderful. A lot of songs could be made out of your music, with just some lyrics and a band. I can do lyrics.

Hedshaker, I can imagine how involved it is to do what you're doing. My nephew was into similar things and was in a good band playing onstage. For me, I have trouble writing music, or doing what you do. But I am good for writing lyrics.

Do you use a keyboard and guitar to make the sound that you like?? I would have to talk at length with you about it. I have to get going, because I've got to make dinner, Hedshaker! I will post again to you a bit later. So very good to hear from you again. Let me bend your ear at least every two weeks. That sounds bloody well!!

Chat with you soon mate!

Dear MarkS,

So, perhaps I saw a paleontologist instead of a geologist? I don't know, but they were trying to prove that the global flood existed, and they found proof of it, but since then, I've heard nothing about it. Who knows what's behind that fact?

Hey, there's a fig tree in my Dad's yard, not far from here. He planted it, but he passed away. Now my oldest sister lives there. I go help her tend the yard sometimes. Dad loved figs. I like them too. I grew up eating them as a kid. Well, you are a wealth of information. I just love it. Will chat more later. Thanks for the good music. And Yes, our God is a Genius, isn't HE?? Will get back to you again a bit later.

To answer your highlighted question; "No, that is not what I am saying."

Now will you squarely answer my questions?

Are you saying that if something is created through natural processes that God is not ultimately responsible?

Are you saying that if something goes through an egg stage then that is not a part of the creature's life?

Well, let's take a look...

The fig-wasp mutualism originated between 70 and 90 million years ago as the product of a unique evolutionary event. Since then, cocladogenesis and coadaptation on a coarse scale between wasp genera and fig sections has been supported by both morphological and molecular studies. This illustrates the tendency towards coradiation of figs and wasps. Such strict cospeciation should result in identical phylogenetic trees for the two lineages and recent work mapping fig sections onto molecular phylogenies of wasp genera and performing statistical comparisons has provided strong evidence for cospeciation at that scale.

That was just a story. If you know of a species of mosquito alive today, that existed back then, tell us about it. That would be remarkable.

I don't share your confidence in written words Michael. Complete stories having a beginning, middle and end are often never written to be factual narratives but instead mean to entertain or to make a point like in a parable. Written words do not somehow become their own evidence or fact even if written in the Bible.

It isn't a matter of simply believing something read in the Bible it's about deciding for yourself whether what is written in it does match reality, not in simply accepting everything as true regardless.

To answer your highlighted question; "No, that is not what I am saying."

Now will you squarely answer my questions?

Are you saying that if something is created through natural processes that God is not ultimately responsible?

Dear Noguru,

I'm saying that God has His Hand in all of it. Have you not heard that the Lord God said, "I knew thee before you were in your mother's womb?" He is in absolute control of every atom and genome change that happens, and every hair on our head. He controls procreation also. And He is still at work in the Universe. He has not entered into His Rest until after Jesus returns. Didn't He say to our Lord Jesus, 'Sit you on my right hand while I make your enemies (be) your footstool.' God has not entered into His Rest yet. Natural processes are controlled by God through Himself and His angels and servants. Siamese twins lived their lives out as they were before doctors came along, and many did just fine. Rebecca died after her childbirth with Benjamin, the brother of Joseph, one of the two tribes of Israel. God had felt she had done on Earth His Will. And she did a great job!!

Are you saying that if something goes through an egg stage then that is not a part of the creature's life?

I'm saying no such thing, Noguru. God did not create eggs. He created actual bugs, trees, animals, not in their infancy or from their eggs. He created them out of the waters, or out of the ground as older creatures, bugs, etc.

This is my answer. Now, I could be swayed to believe there has been more than one 'Adam' created/made. I can't help but believe it. Is it not written, "And He called THEIR name 'Adam' in the 'day' THEY were created." See Gen. 5:2. There is a good secret there that I will keep to myself because none of you seem ready to accept it, for I offered it earlier and was trounced on by some here. It could mean only one of THREE explanations.

Hey Noguru, I don't mind. I can wait and ask the Lord Jesus or God. It won't be long now.

Much Love, In Jesus Christ. May He Guide Your Path!!

Michael

I know Alwight. But this Bible is a Reference Book, and it's words are true, or it wouldn't have lasted this long and still be the number one seller. The Bible has a beginning and middle, and an end. It starts out when God created man and ends with His Son's farewell. It also holds out that there is more to life than what goes on down here on Earth. Wouldn't life be meaningless if it weren't?

The things that you're liable to read in the Bible, Michael, just ain't necessarily so. ;)

It isn't a matter of simply believing something read in the Bible it's about deciding for yourself whether what is written in it does match reality, not in simply accepting everything as true regardless.

Alwight, it's about believing a Reference book given to you and deciding whether or not you believe the book. Don't you worry, I can handle anything you want to talk about, Al. The first time I saw and heard an angel, I was in such awe that I couldn't take my eyes away from watching him, knowing I'd never seen one before and might not ever see one again. But finally, I ran to call my girlfriend to come over, so I could tell her what happened so far. Though I had another girlfriend, I was still a virgin/celibate until we were to get married, and I told her that. The Lord God had visited me ten days earlier, and spoke with a booming, commanding voice saying, "Calm yourself and think of those you love." He spoke two other times and soon I was finally over my heart attack. I had asked Him to let me live and tell my friends about His visit to me. And He did.

You cannot take the Bible out of the Library. You also cannot check out the Pseudopigrapha, for it is a reference book also, which contains all of the chapters of the Bible, plus other chapters that did not make the cut to be put in the Bible.

I used to read many fantasy novels in my younger days and got very involved in and lived for magical places, escapism, but I always have come back to the real world. :)

Al, but those were fantasy novels succinctly, not guides on how to live your life on earth, or factual books. Do you see the difference. And I am living in the real world. It is a mess, to be honest. But God says it will get better once His Son returns to Earth. He also told me that it would be VERY SOON!!

Didn't you read the OP on this thread? I thought you did. I guess you did not read my book either. It's available at my website for FREE. You just skim through the pages using your up and down arrow cursor keys.

There's more to things than meets the eye. But, there is Love also. So don't worry. I put my cares on God's shoulders and live my life the best I can. Without anxiety or being haughty. I've just had some VERY unusual things happen in my life. I don't expect you to believe me. If I did, I would have fewer friends. Some of my friends believe me wholeheartedly, and some don't even know about my life yet. Those who can't handle it, I don't tell them. I'd best close for now, so I don't write a novel on you!! Hey, I don't expect you to believe me. There's no way that you can, most likely.

Let Your Life Be A Happy Time!!

Left click on 'Book Copy' on the left-hand side of the picture of Jesus, then left click on the 'SKU-text.pdf'. The Title Page of my book will come up and you can read it at your own leisure by using the up and down arrow cursor keys, or even print it out for yourself on paper. Otherwise, it's Free to go to our Downtown Phoenix Library here (for AMR), etc. I was just at the Library earlier this morning (around 11am) and found out that one of my two editions was checked out. I told them I would be bringing in a 7th Edition within a couple months. They said 'great.' My Avatar here is what the cover of my last book looks like. My earlier edition had a brown cover with Jesus on the Cross. But this is one pic of Him returning. I thought it best.

Dear Hedshaker,

I noticed that you had a new Avatar!! Good for you. I did like the old one also though. When we have pool parties or if I go to my nephew's house, we always jam down on guitars and keyboard and sing with mics. I've got echo (reverb) and chorus. I do suppose you know what I mean there. Anyway, I play a 12-string and it's a hollow body with a pickup that I put in it. It's nice. Not too nice to tune it though. I try to keep it tuned low so I don't have trouble reaching the high notes, heheheh!! My nephew knows about creating sound, but just on the novice level. You must love to pass the time doing it. See if you can make some money on it by selling the sound to bands, etc. Is this far-fetched?? They can write some lyrics and have a wonderful song and make a lot of money. You could put a rider in there which says you get a certain percentage of the sales because you created the music. Can you do that or not?

Where are you at in England. Do you know what 'heather' is? I've never seen any in my life yet. Does it smell good? Does it have purple flowers? We have some real unusual plants here in the desert also, not just cacti, but also many other types of flowers, including roses and Lantana. They do well here, surprisingly enough. We have saguaros (cactus), Cape Honeysuckle (like a Trumpet Vine from the East U.S.), etc. We've got an orange tree in the back yard and it has 3 or 4 oranges on it. It is a baby one yet. It is only a year old. But the oranges are regular sized.

Well, I'd best get going for now. Will look for you in a couple weeks or so. If you want, you can always post to me here at your convenience.

Cheers!

Michael

Dear All Of My Buddies!!

CONFLICTING “FACTS”
by Rob Kerby, Senior Editor

Evolution is bunk! For decades, we’ve been told that science has all the answers – and there can’t possibly be any intelligent design to the universe. We are told there is no God, no creation and nothing but random coincidence that life emerged on Earth. Our planet, say scientists, just somehow sits in a Goldilocks spot in the universe, not too hot, not too cold, not too close to the center of the galaxy, not too far away – and with just enough water to nurture life plus those fascinating magnetic fields protecting us from the constant assault of space debris. But even the Big Bang theory continues to change – every day looking a lot like the Book of Genesis.

Once upon a time a long, long time ago, there was nothing, say cosmologists. Then there was a spontaneous spark of creation, oops, make that a “singularity,” as tiny as a single atom which in an instant exploded, expanding faster than the Speed of Light. It evolved into an entire universe, spawning vast galaxies, billions of suns and planets – and Earth’s complex, self-sustaining eco-system with all its diverse life forms, including mankind. Doesn’t that sound a lot like God waving His mighty hand and bringing all things into being? If He didn't spark creation, who did? Nobody, say astrophysicists. It just happened on its own.

And what about Charles Darwin's original theories that started it all? Was Darwin theoretically wrong in his world-shattering conclusions? Can his errors be proven on a straightforward scientific basis? That’s the quest of medical journal reviewer Bart Rask, M.D. in a new book.

He notes that conventional criteria for testing any scientific theory include the “peer-review” process where fellow researchers pick apart the findings using empiricism, logic and testability to see whether the new discovery is accurate.

Dr. Rask points out that the theory of evolution is said traditionally to meet these criteria by the mainstream scientific community. However, using the same processes that he’s used for years as a peer reviewer for medical journals, Dr. Rask found big problems.

“There is found to be universally a logical disconnect between the purported evolutionary experiments or observations and their evolutionary conclusion,” writes Dr. Rask. “The most common logical error was the fallacy of affirming the consequent.” What does all that mean?

Dr. Rask says we’ve been told too long, like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, not to pay any attention to that man behind the curtain. We’re supposed to obediently watch the parade and, as in the tradition of the Hans Christian Anderson tale, silence any politically incorrect children who shout that the Emperor is wearing no clothes.

In fact, Dr. Rask has identified a number of reasons that any logical person – with or without any faith tradition – should have serious doubts about this flawed theory which is taught as “fact” to our children daily. Here are five of Dr. Rask’s objections.

DNA shows man and chimp common ancestry unlikely. There is a scientific reason that man and chimp could not have had a common ancestor. The answer is in the genetics. Ironically the DNA studies that evolutionists claim support a common ancestor, actually suggest common ancestry to be statistically impossible. Then there is the problem that since humans and chimps cannot produce fertile hybrids, any claim of common ancestry contradicts empiric evidence.

Studies “proving” evolution actually do nothing of the kind. Rask says in Evolution by Affirming the Consequent that a review of the methods and results of over 400 commonly referenced evolution papers was performed. Those studies found researchers had merely demonstrated micro-evolution or simply described the diversity within nature – with evolution only assumed.

The theory of evolution doesn’t even qualify as a science. Evolutionists claim it does since making predictions about observed intermediate species can test it. “The problem is that the finding of intermediate species does not represent a test of the theory of evolution,” says Dr. Rask. “The reason is that there is no demonstration the intermediate arrived by evolution’s mechanism of random mutation and natural selection.”

Radioisotope dating techniques of fossils has been found to have no scientific support. How do scientists know the age of dinosaur fossils are millions of years old? The answer is in radioisotope dating, using elements such as uranium 238 and its presumed half life of 4.5 billion years as it decays to lead 206. But how do scientists know how much lead 206 in a fossil was from uranium decay? How can scientists possibly know a half-life could be 4.5 billion years? After a thorough review of the physics literature back to the 1930s, the answer is that they don’t know! Radioisotope dating is simply based on unsupported assumptions.

Evolution arguments are logically flawed. Evolution arguments are found to universally commit errors in logic with the most common being the fallacy of “affirming the consequent,” as in Dr. Rask’s book title Evolution by Affirming the Consequent. “An example is the evolutionists’ claim that since the fossil record is consistent with evolution theory, it therefore supports the theory,” says Dr. Rask. “The fallacy is that there is no evidence the fossil findings were a result of evolution’s mechanism of random mutation and natural selection.”

Having declared their right to dethrone any possible deity, evolution’s preachers shrug off their own scientific method, says Dr. Rask. They insist we embrace contradicting theories that require a deep faith in science. Our schools are supposed to embrace flawed theories without question -- or be accused of promoting religion. We are all alone with no Creator watching over us, insist the theorists, although our hearts and minds prove to us otherwise.

Does God still answer prayer? Oh, yes, say these authors, missionary kids and ordinary folks who answered Beliefnet’s recent request for stories of divine intervention. They say God touched them! What do you think?

Praise God!!

Michael

P.S. I also believe that there were once men and women on the planet Mars. But they would not learn to keep from war and killing and was destroyed. Mars was in our orbit. Now Earth is. I think next with be Venus. It is written that Jesus said, "I am the bright and morning star (Venus). 'And I will give him the morning star, even as I have received it from my Father.' It is written that the earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard and shall be utterly removed from her place in that day.

Dear noguru, gcthomas, hedshaker, Alwight, DavisBJ, Stuart, etc.,

What do you think of my Post #6315 re Evolution?? It is from a good source and says it just the way it is. Are you afraid to comment on it or what. Maybe you are all out partying. That's probably it. Oh, well. That's okay too! I may break open a bottle of wine myself 2nite. My birthday is tomorrow, so I can finish it 2morrow. The "Post" I am mentioning is pretty new info. C what U think!!

Dear Alwight,

Aren't you going to talk with me anymore?? I'm sorry I said a bit more than I should have, but I figured you knew already. Yes, I've had quite a blessed life and the best part is yet to come. That's why I am always asking you to join me. But no more. Of course things have happened to me. Otherwise I would not be able to speak with such conviction. It's because most of what I'm saying, I know it's the truth. Of course, I make mistakes too. I do hope you can just forget what I've told you and remember it later, when you need it. There is no reason to feel ill towards me.

A bunch of Cheerios!!

Hi Michael,
I like to say something only when I have something to say, it doesn't mean we've fallen out if I haven't said anything to you since yesterday. :plain:

However if your own standards of evidence are simply bald assertions that (say) people once lived on Mars, which was once in Earth's orbit or that iirc the Sun is where the Lake of Fire is, then I may smile but there really is nothing I can do to deconstruct any of that since it has never been established by evidence and reason, nor imo will it ever likely be.:nono:

I also have no interest in pulling apart a cut and paste from a site that is much more concerned with belief rather than science. If your "Rob Kerby" thinks that science is wrong, if Radiometric Dating methods are falsehoods and lies then take it up with scientists, show them, don't spend your time inventing eye candy for believers.

If otoh you Michael have a specific issue that you want to talk through the actual evidence on, hopefully in your own words, then please do, but bald assertions of highly unlikely fantastic things just don't work on me.

Dear Alwight,

Hi Buddy! I just didn't want to freak you out because I've seen and heard an angel. I figured you knew it already but perhaps, I should not have mentioned it. But it is how I know some of the things I know.

I just want to keep you as a friend!! So I'm thinking you didn't like my article on Post #6315? You seem determined to believe in Evolution, even after my article. Well, nothing matters to me more than our friendship, so we just don't agree about that. No big deal. Just thought I'd bring the article to your attention.

Perhaps noguru has some introspect of the article. And Hedshaker, gcthomas, stuu, DavisBJ, The Barbarian, etc. I hope to hear everyone's point of view about it. Hopefully they can add some insight.

Blessed Wishes For The Day, Alwight!!

Michael, this is the biggest piece of rubbish I have read in a long time. There is so much misinformation here, I don't know where to begin. I have highlighted a few of the most glaring errors. The fact that you cannot see the inaccuracies further confirms my suspicion that you are very confused about science.
