Austin Bombings

Looks like whoever is doing this is focusing on East Austin, which is a mix of hipster locations, some upscale homes, and ethnic areas.

The police chief suspects that these are hate crimes, since the bomber has been targeting minorities in his attacks.

The fourth bomb probe comes within hours of Austin police demanding that the culprit behind a string of explosive packages surrender to authorities.

A 17-year-old boy died last week while opening a package he found on the porch of his southeast Austin home. A 39-year-old man was also killed when the package he found on his porch detonated northeast of the city.

Manley has suggested the bombings could be hate crimes since all of the victims were minorities, either black or Hispanic.

Yeah, the last was a trip wire....clearing this person doesn't care who walks into it.

Let's guess till we know and see who gets the closest.

My guess will be that it is a disgruntled employee out to get revenge on co-workers and/or supervisors.

Target was only one of the bombings, and the rest were to throw cops off track?

So many people have cameras on their houses now. Surely he'll be caught soon.

I can't believe how the cops put out that plea (desperation begging the person to come in and talk).

apparently, that does work on, say, first time criminals that crouch in fear and guilt for what they've done and just want it to end and give up because they don't know what to do next.
Worth a try I suppose, but I'm thinking a 4 time bomber in that short of time is ready to go out with a bang if caught, and has no intention of giving up.

Who knows? :idunno:
When it comes to human nature, they can be unpredictable.
