I believe the term does refer to someone being "pro-woman", but that being pro-woman does not automatically equate to being anti-men.

Agreed.

I remember stories about my grandmothers, both women who resisted the status quo of their time in the limited ways that they could, and how far we've come (although not far enough in some cultures) from the times when women had little say in their own destinies.

I always figure I know as much as I need to know about a person when their first, only or main rebuttal is "FEMINIST!"

If a wife is being beaten by her husband, then she should blame him.

He STILL pretends to not understand this. I don't deny that some have taken Feminism to an extreme.

What Chrys refuses to admit is that feminism WAS a reaction to being treated like a second class citizens.
