    Big bang... a big NO!

No. The correct answer is, "Apart from God, I don't know how the universe could have been created." But you don't like that. So you'll try to adhere to the plain "I don't know" instead.

Summit Clock Experiment 2.0: Time is Absolute

A thought occurred to me as I was writing a reply to my post just now, and its more important, so... My suggestion would be to have a similar setup, but instead of it being one mirror (and in a garage, no less), you would have a laser at one end, and a series of mirrors set at intervals that...

Summit Clock Experiment 2.0: Time is Absolute

Hmmm, I was going to suggest that having it reflect off of the mirror and bounce back towards the source would help to understand if it's instantaneous, but that means it's bouncing at least once, which means it possibly slowed down....

    So is your naïveté.

Summit Clock Experiment 2.0: Time is Absolute

I've been thinking of a similar experiment for a while, but couldn't quite describe it and didn't know if it would be able to overcome any of the difficulties that arise when trying to determine the one-way speed of light (my initial guess is that it doesn't...). I just came across this video...

    Big bang... a big NO!

... Who need to get paid so they can feed their families... The threat of losing their job tends to make people fall in line even if the ideas being promoted are a little ridiculous.

    Our Moral God

Makes more sense for him to have written Hebrews if he was a Jew.

How to respond to classical theists who dodge Open Theism arguments

One more thing to point out: English is a very broad language, with over 170k words. Hebrew, by comparison, has only a fraction of that, at only 8-10k words. Needless to say, words in Hebrew had a much broader use than what we today realize. NACHAM "to sigh" doesn't just mean "the exhaling of...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

That would receive eternal life? There was only ever one group like that, until Paul came around, and that was Israel. Then Acts 7-9 happened, and suddenly a new group appeared. This is what happens when one mashes Scriptures that aren't talking about the same thing together. Stay focused...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

The only, repeat, the ONLY way to resolve this is for there to be two peoples, two programs... The first people group is Israel, a nation. The first program is the establishment of her kingdom with Christ on her throne. The second people group is the Body of Christ, a creature. The second...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

I mean, this is pretty clear: But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my...

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

Something isn't adding up then: He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money...

Such claims also ignore the part where the people who operate those craft have families and friends who live in the very communities that would be targeted.

Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

OR, and is far more reasonable: It's the first book, to the Hebrews, of the rest of the Bible, written for a future generation of Israel, and thus placed at the end of the Bible. Current Israel (at the time of writing) => Four gospels. Transition book => Acts Gospel of Grace, ministry to...

    About our glorious Triune God

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all...
