The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

I disagree, as John never baptized anyone in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. John baptized unto repentance from sin for the remission of sins. (Luke 1:77, 3:3, Mark 1:4)

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Because Jesus had not yet been raised from the dead. We are baptized into His death, burial and resurrection. (Rom 6:3-4) Jesus had yet to die, be buried, and be resurrected. The thief would do physically what we do by faith. Jesus had power on earth to forgive sins, and thankfully, so too can...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Doubtful, as "neither" can't satisfy Rom 6:5's "planted together with Christ". Water baptism in the name of Jesus Chr5ist for the remission of sins is the means of both washings, as I see in 1 Peter 3:21..."The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of...

Which baptism did Paul do for the twelve at Ephesus? It is written..."Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

According to Paul in Rom 6:3-6 and Gal 3:27, 5:24, it is water baptism. If it were otherwise, he would have said "Spirit baptism".

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

If you are happy to dwell in the "old man", continue as you have. (Rom 6:6, Gal 5:24) I wasn't happy with it, so got baptized into Christ and into His death and burial, and was raised with Him to walk in newness of life. That has allowed my repentance from sin to be true.

God didn't tell him "not to". If He had, Paul wouldn't have baptized Crispus, Gaius, the household of Stephanas or the twelve at Ephesus. In fact, Acts 18:8 says "many" at Corinth were baptized. I am not confused at all. Thanks be to God !

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Paul water baptized plenty of folks, so your idea that he had "discounted" Jesus's command is not correct.

Why one, but not the other part of Peter's first sermon to those visiting Jerusalem? Acts 2:38..."Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Communion? Want to start...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Why not add repentance from sin to your list of God ordained non-essentials? (Acts 2:38, 22:16) Why "turn from" sin if your old sins are going to follow you to the day of judgement?

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

I disagree, as there is no other instrument of baptism that simulates burial. One given/done by God, and one given/done by men. Don't forget 1 Cor 6:11..."And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

You should have quoted the verse so folks wouldn't get the wrong idea. 1 Cor 1:17..."For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect." "...lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect". Was...

The Saving results of the Death of Christ !

Thank God for water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins, wherein we can also kill the old man and be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life with Jesus. (Rom 6:4) Die with Him, be buried with Him, and be raised with Him in one simple step.

    Trucking!

It looks like an anti-roll "chock". I think that is how it is spelled. Jam it under the front of the tire, and it won't roll forward. Aircraft use them too.

Am I saved from the Christian point of view?

Agreed. Heb 6:4-6 goes along with 1 John 3:9 nicely.

Am I saved from the Christian point of view?

Agreed. That, or any other sin.

Am I saved from the Christian point of view?

The same thing will apply when our "Ark" judges humanity on the last day. Those who remained in Christ will be saved.

Am I saved from the Christian point of view?

I agree. It makes it so much easier to tell who really repented. Those who left the ark.

Will today's belief last until tomorrow?

Am I saved from the Christian point of view?

Do you recall Paul's reference to the Law's righteousness, in Phil 3:9? Righteousness according to the Law pales in comparison the to righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus. True, but didn't "the ordinances" include days of atonement and sacrifices for sins? By adhering to the ordinances, OT...
