Paul did not write Hebrews; we do not know who did

Just as there are no Jews or Greeks in the body of Christ, so too there are no males or females, bond nor free. Their understanding of the body of Christ must make them wonder who IS in it?

Faith to believe on Christ !

You misinterpreted Eph 1:16, even though you printed it out here. Initially you wrote that Paul thanked God for their faith (it), but Paul is actually thanking God for "them" who have faith. BTW, how many non-sinning, faithful, folks do you know? (I hope dozens.)

OK, thanks. That isn't much help in seeing your POV.

why did John water baptize Jesus ?

My point had already been made, in post #18.

why did John water baptize Jesus ?

John said exactly what the baptism of fire was in the verse following his announcement of it. It is written..."Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (Matt 3:12) If it is the...

If "no one cares", an argument can't be made.

why did John water baptize Jesus ?

Crispus, Gaius, the household of Stephanus, the twelve at Ephesus, and I, would not agree. Where?

Seed, nonetheless. Self diagnosis can be tricky. That is correct. For both Gentile and Jew. OT's old news. In fact, one of the OT's presages fulfilled by the NT's separation from sin. I am stunned that you think that. Peter "preached the cross" to Cornelius in Acts 10:39-43. Every mention of...

why did John water baptize Jesus ?

I disagree. I disagree. I have noticed that he never calls water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins a Jewish water ceremony. Probably because more than just the Jews had their sins remitted by it: not to mention had their old man of sins killed by it and then were...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

I love this verse, because of the one that follows it..." There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Gal 3:29)...

why did John water baptize Jesus ?

Yep, as it is one of the baptisms done without water. As there was a baptism wherein the Israelites experienced/took part in, (were immersed into), all that Moses commanded and experienced, without water, (1 Cor 10:2), so too will all men experience/take part in, (be immersed into), their own...

Are there Jews in the body of Christ? OK. ? Where do proselytes come from? The Gentiles.

why did John water baptize Jesus ?

That makes sense, as all will be "immersed" in their judgement.

Based on your previous posts, that surprises me. Which prophesy? I see many thousands of folks being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and if their repentance from sin was true...they would have received the gift of the Holy Ghost...as Peter prophesied in Acts 2:38.
