The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

The end of the world? Or are you saying Jesus already returned to the earth?

Eph 2 seems to make a point of informing its readers that there is no difference between Jewish and Gentile readers. We Gentiles are... "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;" (Eph 2:19) How can there be any more...

    On the omniscience of God

Eve's "reason" neglected God's command not to eat the fruit. Her "reasoning" was only 75% reasonable.

I can't say, as I am not an OT Jew. As past sin has been washed away by the blood of Christ, (at least to those who have had that blood applied to them by faith in water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins), why would animals still need to be sacrificed? Jesus was the...

Thank you. I can't understand the separation of brothers there. Seems anti-Semitic in nature.

Me too, having grown up in the environs of St. Louis in the sixties. Three world series during my grade school years. That was a big deal for us kids, as the nuns would bring in TVs and watch the day games instead of doing class work. I think they were all day games back then.

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

I believe Jesus ascended to heaven, after He was killed, buried, and raised from the dead. The verse you posted does away with the "saved by faith only" syndrome, as it says "by which you are saved" regarding the gospel of Christ's resurrection. Another thing beside faith by which we will be...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

As the gift of the Holy Ghost is a "seal of the inheritance", a "down payment" of sorts, why do you consider it a done dead when it is not yet done? Do you think Ananias and Sapphira, or Demas, or the adulterer in Corinth were a "done deal"? They all left the faith. My bible says "the kingdom...

It can also be applied to anyone converted by faith. Faith can be lost. I don't remember seeing that question but I will answer it now. Jesus has not yet returned with His flaming angels to take vengeance on the earth and its inhabitants. Like the Jews of Jesus' time, you seem to be looking for...

Thank you. Circumcision, feast keeping, sabbath keeping, and dietary rules were certainly written against by Paul. Col. 2 provides some further evidence. With the final atonement for sin provided by Christ's blood, days of atonement and sacrifices for sins were also dismissed. Not to mention sin...

I am glad we agree on that. Though Jesus' prime goal while here was the conversion of the Jews, He wouldn't have turned away anyone from another nation.

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

Yeah. The kingdom of God in us is ruled by God. We cannot act without His influence. It is written..."And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or...

The Gospel of the Kingdom and the plot twist.

It was in Him, and now it is in us...if we repent and get washed by His blood and endure faithfully until the end.

After 31 posts, this is what I learned mid-Acts-dispensationalism offers from those who adhere to mid-Acts-dispensationalism. 1 It is true. 2 It eliminates biblical contradictions. 3 We are to follow Christ like Paul did. (Number 3 isn't really offered to me, but commanded of me.) Nothing else...

Is there a difference in there? Luke 22 is referring to, bringing to mind, the events of Matt 10.

    Wokey McWokeface

That being the case, then (A) "the love of money is the root of all evil" is more inclusive than (B) "the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil". That means A is a lie. The love of money is not the root of all evil but it is the root of all kinds of evil. What does the word "all" mean...
