When the Romans were done destroying the Temple, they took "souvenirs" back to Rome. The Romans built an Arc de Triomphe for Titus when he returned. The Arc still stands today. Take a look at what is carved in stone in the Arc:

I made it clear that I can't tell you who the two witnesses were. However, I believe the two witnesses did do what is described in Rev 11 in 70AD

One more time: the only writings that exist that record the events of the Jewish-Roman war of 66AD- 70AD are those of Josephus and he makes no reference to the two witnesses.

The "Great Revolt" began in 66AD. In February of 67AD Nero sent Vespasian to stop the revolt. It ended in August-September 70AD with the destruction of the Temple. This took 42 months, or 3.5 years.
