Why God Cannot Decree Someones Salvation

In the Old Testament and New Testament, and even to this day, it is and has always been about believing and obeying God, no matter if it is just ‘do not eat from this tree’, or ‘do the purification works’…it is and always will be about believing and obeying.

That is about not having to do the purification works in order to be counted as righteousness. Now Jesus makes us righteous without the purification works, but we still have to believe and obey.

Calvinism is false, but so is ‘believe and do nothing’ and condemning those who believe and obey.

Calvinism and faith only teachers both are entrapped by the false teaching of doing something is evil and wrong.

The Pharisees enforced the good law but they did not practice what they preached.

Matthew 23:3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

The Pharisees did not repent of their sins.

Luke 7:30 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God's purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)

The work of salvation has already been done by Jesus Christ. He was obedient unto death. This is why salvation is by faith, plus nothing.

Jesus obeyed and that is why we have someone to obey.

Jesus came to reconcile us to God.

All his words while he walked the earth were not for naught.

He is the Way and his words are life.

The works no one has to do anymore is to clean oneself just to go to the temple to worship God.

Jesus cleans us now just by believing his blood does.

That does not mean we do not have to obey anything to enter that grace.

pates gospel, heres the good news of jesus Christ , Christ died for your sins, but you are still lost ! lol

The two of you have false doctrines. The two of you argue about which one obeys God the least and think the one who does the least wins.

Calvinists do not understand that Jesus died for all men, but that many will reject Jesus and they are the ones who will go to the lake of fire.

Obedience is a work of the law, Romans 3:20. We are not saved by anything that we do or become.

Both of you have this in common, you both believe that sinners Christ died for are still lost!

Obedience was not nailed to the cross.

The works of the law are the purification/ceremonial works. Those works no longer save.

The law was nailed to the cross and was abolished, Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:14. Your doctrine is obsolete. This is why Paul said, "The Just Shall Live By Faith" Romans 1:17 and not by rules, laws or religion.

'Obeying' is not obsolete.

The old law with its purification/ceremonial WORKS are obsolete.

Jesus came and gave the new law.

Made me re-commit to ignoring Robert Pate, as most of my Reformed brethren do.
It is a wise course of action. He is just blogging anyway.

Yea, Jesus came into the world to die for your sins, but that is not going to save you because you have not been predestinated.

You teach that even though Christ died for sinners sins, they are stilll lost. How is that the Good News Of the Gospel ?

You are trying to keep a law that no longer exist.

You listen to Paul?

Paul says he is not without the law.

1 Corinthians 9:21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law.

Instead of discrediting me, you should try to refuteing me with scripture. Can it be that you can't?

No one can refute you because you are impervious to scripture. You have a few select scriptures that you quote out of scriptural context and your mind is closed to any other interpretation.

Good luck with that.
