Why Evangelical Protestants Become Catholics:
“Bottom line: we convert because we come to believe, by God's grace, and with His leading, that the Catholic Church is the fullness of theological and spiritual truth, and the Church that Jesus instituted. Period.”*

Here's why

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

"end of thread"~john w
Go ahead and prove that 50k + Protestant sects with conflicting and contradictory doctrines are NOT the "some...depart(ing)" "in latter times" mentioned in 1 Timothy 4:1!?*

Keep in mind that*conflicting, contradictory doctrine is not okay...at least according to the Bible and 1st century Christians.~ John 14:26, John 16:13; Malachi 3:6

While you're at it you might as well prove that 1Timothy was actually written to 16th century Protestants and not 1st century Christians as everybody knows that not a single solitary Protestant existed in the first century!?

God Bless!

Don't forget the rest of that passage:
1Ti 4:1-5 KJV Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; (3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (4) For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: (5) For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Sounds like Paul was "anti-catholic".

The religious, denominational system is courtesy of the mystery of iniquity that doth already work (2 Thessalonians 2:7 KJV).

Those who don't follow Paul (1 Corinthians 4:15-16 KJV) and don't hold fast the form of sound words that we have heard of Paul (2 Timothy 1:13 KJV) in Romans through Philemon are all a part of that system; "Protestants" and "Catholics" included.

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

If you nameth the name of Christ, depart from iniquity!

2 Timothy 2:19 KJV

It isn't from believing that Christ died for their sins, and rose again for their justification, trusting the LORD to save them. Period.

You can go ahead and just apply that to yourself, and to the myriad recently-invented, man-made non-Catholic sects in existence today, with more being concocted every week.

I a bit amazed that you're blaming all of these "sects" on heir.

Your "church" is a myth that you've bought into.
