Why didn't Jesus want His disciples to make Him known before the 'DBR' ?

A distinction without a difference. Satan is the only one called the god of this world, and he isn't a "GOD" at all.
I like the way Paul puts it here --- "rulers of the darkness"

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Yes and no. There is one Devil, Satan, the Accuser, yes. But he reigns over a kingdom which is ruled by others, who are subject to him, he is their sovereign, or lord; or Baal.

$$ Ps 96:5
For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Paul says

$$ 1Co 10:20
But [I say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
$$ 1Co 10:21
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

There are others; Moloch, Asmodeus, Leviathan, Beelzebub, Belial, etc., etc.
