He came to defeat satan, death and hell/sin and that all fullness of God should dwell on earth as the Son of God -

He confirmed the new covenant to the new Israel so that the mission of God to the nations (Gen 3, 12) would launch properly. But that is secondary to securing justification, which was an eschatological event. There would not be a mission to the nations if justification had not been secured.
