You mean the data that is publically available from any major climate research institute around the globe? Al Gore is the chief of all those institutes? That is impressive! I don't see his name on any of the data that is available from for examples NASA though.

Not according to the scientific data. Hurricanes and other natural disasters do indeed happen, no one is claiming that climate change is the sole cause of all natural disasters, they claim that climate change increase the rate and strength of phenomena like extreme weather.
Do some research on climate change researchers. They are all publicly funded and they sell fear. The private sector would never fund it.

Hmmm, rate and strength. Seems they are quite a bit off on rate! ('first 'cane in 12 years...) but also notice the info about Irma: this is the first one Tampa has faced in almost 100 years...

Meanwhile across the continent: Hole in the Wall glacier, a sidebar of Taku (N. America's largest) was not showing 100 years ago. It has developed and grown since. A cross section of HinW on the downstream side of the ridge it broke through is the same width and height as the core of downtown Seattle. Seems to be growth over the past 100 years! Of course, Lake Taku, which was the dammed Taku river upstream from where Taku used to reach, no longer exists, but that was 200 years ago. It did not happen during the internal combustion era. Which is why Obama was such a flop saying what he did, when quoting Hume about Glacier Bay (Hume attributed its reduction the same way--to modern industry). How could we let such a person be in charge of national security?

In my opinion "Global Warming" is a GIGANTIC money making political SCAM that's been perpetrated on the masses by "Far-left-wing" Politicians, media, and Hollywood types. Al Gore is the CEO of this cult like following. As Christians, we know that, in the end, God, Himself will destroy the earth and recreate a new earth.
Wrong on all counts.

Try this. Deals with a number of glaciers in the Andes, not one glacier that seems to continue to ring your bell.

Jonah, like I have to say to people with other theology positions: we are well past the point of restating beliefs. In your case, we already know you don't accept God doing the NHNE at the end of time. Do you have reasons?

In our case, the same resurrected Lord who said he would judge the world in righteousness, and who gave himself as a justifying sacrifice because of that day of judgement, is who is speaking regarding the NHNE:

"God has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the Man he has appointed (Christ). He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead." Acts 17:31 at the Aeropagus, Athens, Greece, c 54 AD.

He said he would make all things new in Christ, and that 'in keeping with God's promise, we look forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.' in 2 Peter 3:10-13.

Evidence for this conspiracy theory? Show us the error in the scientific data and explanatory models presented by climate research institutes from around the globe. Of course you can't, you rather postulate a global conspiracy involving research institutes around the globe that are independent of each other.

People only think there's a consensus on climate change because any disagreement has an impossible time getting peer reviewed studies.

Nonsense. This is the same drivel that you hear from creationists, that there is some global conspiracy against their views.

But there is a prejudice to dismiss in both cases. they say so. Then people like Obama can say ridiculously anachronistic things about, for ex., Hume's quote on Glacier Bay, and everyone goes 'wow, impressive.'

on evolution, have you ever thought to ask yourself how people who insist God cannot create suddenly know in technical detail about a God who doesn't exist and know his specific creative limits? Sounds like he was just at the house yesterday, and they were talking and looking through scrap books of past creations! lol, Perhaps some prejudice there?

The Left is totally prejudiced against a Judeo-Christian understanding of the world, just like Nazism was. It is totally for the most centralized government like Nazism was. It must by all means necessary cover up that evolution was written to support a racist centralized government, anything to squash the American direction of freedom under a Creator.

Yep, just as messing with the climate of one's own, internal ecosystem increases the greater likely-hood of system-wide faster breakdown, of illness, of disease...of death.

Why?

Because the wages of sin - of having messed with how things were meant to run - that brought death and destruction upon said natural order of things - is still...death.

Sort of how just like smoking cigarettes has not only been proven highly likely to result in all sorts of a negative on one's inner climate over time, but is actually warned against in the Scripture, in that addictions, being that they are a sin issue; are an issue the Bible Believer is often instructed by the Scripture not to allow to reign over him or her.

The old reaping and sewing principle being what is set off...system wide, or beyond just it's impact on that smoker.

These things are all often properly understood more through their underlying operating principles (about how a host of things operate), than through merely pointing to a passage and asserting "here; here it is in black and white."

And given the Religious "Right's" obvious double-standard on this issue, they might as well be both Pro-Choice and Pro-Suicide.

For given the overall impact of those two issues also (on how things had been meant to be environmentally); those two are also issues of "climate change" or system wide impact on said "natural order."

The fact of this...

1 Corinthians 6:13A's "Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them."

...does not negate the fact of this, in that same passage...

1 Corinthians 6:13B's "Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body."

In other words, as is obvious in passages of Scripture like that one, in terms of the operating principles they are actually pointing to a thing from, the fact that the Scripture asserts that God will one day wipe it all out with a severe devastation and start over, does not justify...our doing so "before the time..."

Nevertheless, Romans 5:8.

Christianity is not Judeo (The LORD through Moses).

That is a myth your Re-formed view re-formed things into - into your ever mindless "one size fits all."

Christianity is Pauline (The Lord through the Apostle Paul).

on climate: http://www.dennisprager.com/global-warming-file/

why does Patrick Moore do video for Prager U instead of Nat Geo or CNN?

Because he was a crotchety old, disabled and ill man before his death, who knew little about climate science even before his decline of latter years.

I lived near him here in SUssex and I knew him before he was ill due to his involvement with local astronomical societies (I ran one for some years) and it was a shame to see him decline and drift towards all sorts of conspiracy theories in his old age, railing against all sorts of things.

Nonsense. This is the same drivel that you hear from creationists, that there is some global conspiracy against their views.

Actually, there are some Creationists who hold to The Gap Hypothesis: that the Earth is way older than most Creationists hold to.

In other words, as in passages like these here...

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The sense of that is that the Earth became without form and void, as a result of a prior catastrophic event brought on by God.

And that He then set about to start all over, thus, the sense of subdue and of re-plenish in a passage like the following.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

And apparently that had not been the last time...

Jeremiah 4:23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 4:24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 4:25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 4:26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. 4:27 For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. 4:28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

There is much in Scripture on these issues.

When Prager interviewed him last year, he was living near Vancouver BC Canada... He sounded lucid, coherent, thriving, and totally able to articulate the modern problem of relying on models rather than basic science. Nice try.

So who is making all the money? Such money as to take in all bar three of the world's national governments (including Russia, China and North Korea)? How is North Korea making money out of it?

Exxon Mobile is making hand over fist dough way beyond any <snicker> tree hugging leftist scientists but they accept climate change which is harming their business directly. High ranking US military men accept climate change and they are concerned about how it will disrupt governments when they start fighting over water and energy which will further destabilize the world.

And yet those here want to call it a conspiracy. I would laugh but it's not funny.
