so you are back?
yeah
are you settled in?
no
how long will that take?
I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get back to some kind of normal
is that so necessary?
for me it is
isn't that like being in a rut?
well I try to make it a comfortable one
so what are you reading now?
Watergate by Fred Emery
isn't that old news?
this is a good book and I have read a lot of watergate books
you should start a thread on watergate
I think I will when I get back to some kind of normal
what's so good about this book?
this guy does not have ax to grind and he starts with the huston plan
what is that?
not many know about it and it started over a year before watergate
why don't we know about it?
after the watergate crisis was over no one wanted to go back to see all all this got started
some never get tired of hearing about watergate
that's me
I'm moving boxes I haven't unpacked from the last move thirteen years ago
and boats that haven't moved for thirteen years - took the last two of ten in the backyard last weekend - still have the three in the living room, but they'll go in the moving van.
then, all of the shop - the milling machine and cabinets full of tooling's gonna be a pain in the neck, along with the welding bench, but at least I have the backhoe working to help in unloading.
Good to see you back Chrys! :wave2:
I am a Watergate fan "thar can be no whitewash at the Whitehouse"
Why I think Richard Nixon got such a raw deal is not because he wasn't a rascal but because they are ALL rascals.
Have you checked in with the;
What do you collect -thread
I find it very interesting that you have a collection of boats.
You must be older now than Tricky was when he resigned :jawdrop:
Here is your favourite Nixon quote...."they won't have Res to kick around anymore"
...uh oh he's back
this is true
so who are your favorite watergate characters?
mine are:
john mitchel
and
patrick gray
