"And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." (Acts 2:47)

Someone said the church is the body, Christ's body. Are you in?

Hi and EKKLESIA means ASSEMBLY and not church !!

The Greek word ADDED in Acts 2:47 , is in the Greek IMPERFECT TENSE and it STARTED during Jesus ministry and then STOPPED as Israel was being set aside as 2 Cor 3:13-16 says !!

Then a new apostle was appointed in Acts 9:6 with a new message called the Revelation of the MYSTERY as written in Rom 16:25 and 26 and in Col 1:25 and 26 !!

"Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed." (1 Corinthians 15:11)

They preached that Jesus is the Christ. The group at Corinth believed it.

Same message, different emphasis.

Paul did not add to scripture, he was not a false teacher. He validated what he taught.

"These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11)

Paul explained the OT mysteries.

dan, they were Jews under the law and rejected their Messiah and that is why they hated Paul and everyone that followed , believed in, and placed their faith in Jesus.

Do you believe the apostles rejected Jesus as their Messiah ?

Not everyone believed Paul. Not everyone believed the apostles. Not everyone believed Jesus.

Not everyone believed.

I'm sure this post will be wasted on you, but to answer your above "why" question...

For the same reason said unruly types had been stirring up "the people" (Israel) against the Believing Remnant of Israel when said Believing Remnant had been preaching to Unbelieving Israel that Jesus had been the Christ (in Acts 2 thru 7, before Unbelieving Israel was concluded having continued in the Uncircumcision of heart of their forefathers in Acts 7, prior to when Paul was saved in Acts 9).

1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 2:14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

That Jesus was the Christ is what one first attempts to show a Jew, prior to going into the Dispensational change in things...to this very day...

This, towards dealing with their long now traditional assertion that "if He had been their Christ; then why did He not reestablish their Prophesied restoration of their kingdom?"

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

2 Thessalonians 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Hi and what is written in Luke 22:32 is in the Greek AORIST TENSE and happened to those at that TIME period !!

They did never know what was happening , about his suffering and death and His resurrection !!

We can see that the apostles were strengheneth AFTER His resurrection , don't we see !!

They never did reject their MESSIAH , just read Luke 24:21-53 !!

Peter isn't saved...yet.

They were all sealed (not saved) until 70AD, even Paul:

(Rom 13:11 KJV) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Salvation didn't come until Christ returned in 70AD:

(Heb 9:8) so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

You ever remain obviously poorly practiced in how proper, individual word study is conducted.

Nah.....I believe what it says.

I don't need to twist the verse into a pretzel to make it fit Darby's false teachings like you do.

Prior to 70AD, believers were marked with a seal until the day of redemption.

(Eph 1:13) And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

(Eph 4:30) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Paul knew they had to wait for the redemption:

(Rom 8:23) Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

Proving once more you have yet to realize there is often a critical, often subtle difference between believing a thing, and believing it only after having properly understood it.

One would think those who assert "just believe the Bible" would "get a clue" from the obvious.

From the fact of any two individuals asserting that, who nevertheless arrive at different conclusions.

But you're an incompetent.

Result?

You yell out "Darby!"

Like the child on that YouTube video caught having scribbled all over its' mom's mirror with her lipstick.

"Mommie, Batman did it..." it claims.

That's you; ever attempting to cover up your obvious incompetence by blaming "Darby."

A hack of a "student" is what you continue to prove to be.

Dispensationalists read the Bible to make it fit their dispensationalism.

It's that simple. We don't need another lecture from you about proper study techniques.

You don't study properly, you have an agenda.
