Wayne Grudem on why Christians (and everyone else) should vote for Trump

When the inevitable time comes (hopefully decades from now), I've asked my wife to put these words on my headstone.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Timothy 4:7

Good. There are Christians who do not believe God wants us fighting.

There are many of us out here, i.e. we haven't fallen for that new limp wristed Christianity that is going around.

Khizr Khan: Allah Is Causing Trump to Make Stupid Mistakes

Jim Hoft Aug 5th, 2016
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/08/khizr-khan-allah-causing-trump-make-stupid-mistakes/

Allah Akbar.
Sharia supporting attorney Khizr Khan is still making the media rounds.

Khizr Khan who waved a US Constitution at Donald Trump at the DNC Convention was interviewed by Dunya Pakistani News this week.

Khan believes Sharia trumps the Constitution – so the entire premise of his DNC speech was a big lie. Khan told Dunya News Allah is working in this election.

Dunya News reported, via Religion of Peace:

The father of martyred United States (US) soldier Captain Humayun Khan, Khizr Khan, has on Thursday said that the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is unacceptable to the US. He said that Allah makes people like Trump to make mistakes to discredit them in public eyes forever, reported Dunya News.

Talking exclusively to Dunya News on program Nuqta-e-Nazar, Khizr Khan said that he often gets emotional while speaking in public but when nature wants you to do something, words come by themselves. He said his speech was a gift from the God. “I showed the constitution only because I wanted to remind people that nobody could be discriminated against in the name of religion”, said Khizr.

The "nobody can be discriminated against because of religion" is a lie as well, because some are theocratic, which is why the 1st Amendment is there. While the Catholic-Protestant conflict was the main reason for writing it, it was obvious back then why Islam would fail the same test. I am not aware of anyone 2 centuries ago who responded to purely teachers or 'evangelists' of Islam in Europe; the only form known was the umma which was a mobile military operation. You were either captured by them or potential targets for that.

I agree. The Bible does not teach that the world will be saved before the Lord returns to destroy the wicked.

And politics in the West is all about saving the world, at least whatever tiny part of it we happen to occupy. But the saving never seems to work for very long, if at all. Dare I say, it's become a form of idol for many.

None of which will save it, though. Many people today (professing Christians) seem convinced that they can. That's one of the issues here.

Apples and Oranges.

The world will end and Christ will come again. That's a given. But that does not mean we flush the whole shebang down the toilet until then. We fight evil and fight to win, and vote for the best person on the ticket, and try to make life for our children better. That is an entirely separate issue.

Of course, your view of Christianity is quite perverted so I don't know if that registers with you.

I agree. The Bible does not teach that the world will be saved before the Lord returns to destroy the wicked.

There are a number of Christians I know I can't really trust as Christians, who hold a view they don't want to see the Lord come back, ranging through different age groups. Parents who want to see their children grow up, children who want to experience life, first, grandparents who want to see their grandchildren have a normal life, fearful people who want everything to remain the same, to the day they die. Their itching ears flock to Preterism or Amillennialism. They're all narcissists, though would hasten to add can't as much fault the children with such a skewed view of God, as we all have to mature and gain wisdom, take part in a process of being led into all truth. But I don't see how one can love the Lord and not love His appearing, above all things.

The Bible is clear you don't have the love of God, if you love the world, are even an enemy of God, if so, and of the flesh, like any unbeliever. The bane of modern religion is this idea you can be a Christian of partial truth, accept salvation and reject the rest, even call God a liar, in essence, over all those things you don't believe, that you don't want to hear. This is the, "Lord, Lord" crowd and the Laodiceans. I don't see how one can fail to love the Lord so, fail to believe the whole gospel, in many areas, and really be of the Holy Spirit. The most vehement people, who reject clear, literal eschatology of scripture, are people who believe it's up to everybody to, in essence, prevent their time of visitation. It's an earmark of the evil to deny their time of visitation, deny that scripture is talking to them. "Save me, Lord! Bless me, Lord! But then just go away." This may make sense to some of you guys, and it may make sense some people have a Holy Spirit leading them into blindness and lies, but that doesn't make sense to me. Nor is it what God says of His elect of the narrow gate, who love the Lord and things eternal, have their eyes fixed on Him, and not the world, the world many people, here, are veritably wallowing in, every single day.

By the way, folks, and maybe I don't see it. But it seems you can't do a poll in the Politics forum, can only create a regular thread. That makes no sense. No polls in the Politics forum? I thumbed through about five pages, anyway, and didn't see a one, nor the option in thread creation. Yet you see them in the Religion forum? This being 2016 and all, regarding anything making sense, I have to believe you just can't do a poll in Politics, until proven wrong. I mean, who would think a poll thread would belong in politics?

Exactly right.

Now if you would, go take a look at the comment left in the Chatbox by ACW last night or this morning about Christ returning to clean up.

Thank you for the tip, Mr. Muster. Now, if I could only figure out what a Chatbox or an ACW is!

I've always found these verses amazing, regarding the final "cleanup" after the millennium. Shoot! May as well post the whole chapter, it being a thing of such great beauty:

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth but you're so deluded you can't even see it.

It's plain bizarre. It's like there are 13 users browsing the thread at the moment, which is high, from what I've noticed. The dude is a thread posting machine, like he has some man-crush going on for Trump, and Trump isn't even a choir boy, because nobody in their right mind should feel they need to be a walking advertisement, such a spam factory, amidst so small an audience. Is he suffering some doubt people don't get who he's voting for?

Or is this, in fact, some Roman Catholic thing, like their vain repetitions to Mary? There's that Crucifraud buddy of his, over in ECT, who's not stopped repeating himself for years. One could make the case there's a pattern there, not unlike 1,600 years of destroyed propaganda talking points that have never changed. I just find the screen all junked-up by Don Quixote unamusing, and he sure does make you sleepy, some of the things he says!

I detect some criticism of Western politics. What do you suggest, that we convert to Muhammadanism so the religious Jihadists will stop killing innocent people and enslave them instead?

Yet there are a number of people who call themselves 'Christian' who do absolutely nothing to protect things like religious freedom and the Christian values that our once great nation embraced. While the Bible does talk about Jesus returning, it also talks about what needs to be done until He returns. God didn't put mankind on this earth with the sole expectation of them just waiting for His return, He lays out rules in the Bible that are to be followed so that people can have happy productive lives until He returns.

Parents who want to see their children grow up, children who want to experience life, first, grandparents who want to see their grandchildren have a normal life,...

I'm one of those parents that wants my children to experience a normal life without having to be exposed to the filth that we're seeing in society today because of people like musterion and his buddy heir who sit back and do absolutely nothing to prevent it.

I loooooooathe people like that, as they are an enemy of God and hence an enemy of mine.

They didn't have in mind that Christians would ever have or participate freely in a democratic republic.

That's sort of the problem with people justifying Christian inactivity in politics- the apostles did not live in the same world.

The founders of our once great Christian nation had God in mind when they wrote our founding documents.

He's mentioned in the charter to our nation: The Declaration of Independence.

Biblical values are the framework of the Constitution.

Etc. etc. etc.

I'm still waiting for you to debate outside of the chatbox musterion. Wait, do you still have me on ignore? (musterion knows his limitations when it comes to debate).
