US democrats again vote against American oil production

Biden id is no more interested in increasing American oil production than Obama was interested in helping American coal businesses.
Oil companies will have to get busy producing or they will face higher taxes if they don't. Looks like the Democrats are voting in favor of American oil production, not against it.

That is ridiculous. Democrats shut down coal and oil and then blame the coal and oil companies for the disaster. How stupid and dishonest is that?

Except they haven't.

In another clip from the same January 2008 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in which Barack Obama promised to bankrupt anyone foolish enough to build coal-burning power plants, he also made an interesting admission about his entire energy plan. Obama told the editors that his policies would make energy prices “skyrocket” as the energy industry passed along the exorbitant costs of his cap-and-trade policy:

No Sparky, you missed the point again as usual. The point is that Biden is calling on Congress to pass legislation to tax oil companies for idle wells and lands that they aren't producing, thus incentivizing them to get off their duffs and increase production!
President Biden made a campaign pitch is all. President Trump used to do that all the time. Maybe something will happen with this, and maybe Congress won't 'move' on it at all, but either way, the president was able to 'stump' for his party, from the 'bully pulpit'.

It's an excellent idea, and the onus is now on Congress to do something about it. If they don't, they'll face the music in November.

He didn't do it.
He didn't do what? Are you saying Obama did not do what he could to fulfill his campaign promise of bankrupting the coal industry to promote his new 'green energy policies? I think you must have failed to properly comprehend what he actually did.

This Labor Day, America has 83,000 fewer coal jobs and 400 coal mines than it did when Barack Obama was elected in 2008, showing that the president has followed through on his pledge to “bankrupt” the coal industry.

The coal industry is in decline largely because natural gas is much cheaper.

As usual, you don't have a clue what you're rambling on about, but that doesn't stop you from rambling on.

Obama didn't make energy prices skyrocket. In case you didn't notice.
Obama forced dozens of coal businesses into bankruptcy and put tens of thousands of Americans out of work during the economic depression that plagued his tenure and you think nothing bad came from it? I do not agree with that assessment.

In a statement Tuesday, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) described a new climate initiative from President Obama as a declaration of war on the coal industry.

Obama announced in a speech at Georgetown University that he will use executive authority to impose the first carbon limits on existing power plants.

“The regulations the President wants to force on coal are not feasible. And if it’s not feasible, it’s not reasonable,” Manchin said in a statement. “It’s clear now that the President has declared a war on coal. It’s simply unacceptable that one of the key elements of his climate change proposal places regulations on coal that are completely impossible to meet with existing technology.”

You can blame Obama all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that cheaper natural gas prices are what put coal companies out of business.

You are sticking to the deceptive democrat narrative while sweeping evidence of disastrous results from democrat policies out of view.

You must have forgotten all about the hydraulic shale fracking breakthrough some dozen years or so ago that triggered a "shale boom" and made natural gas much more plentiful and cheaper than coal:

Are you saying free enterprise brought good things to America in spite of Obama's destructive policies? Maybe so.
