If it is you that has the control then it is not the Holy Spirit in control of you.
Yes! For sure!!
That's why Paul tells us regularly how we need to walk in the Spirit, and what that looks like.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. [Gal 5:25 KJV]
[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [Rom 8:1 KJV]
That's why Paul tells us to imitate him as he imitates Christ. (1 Cor 11:1)
That's why Jesus said we need to abide in His, because that is what brings fruit. How do we abide in His love?
[Jhn 15:7-11 KJV] 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.
Are we really going to tell people they don't need to repent and thus deprive them of the joy, the full joy of Jesus Christ, that they are entitled to as the adopted sons and daughters of the King?
Why would we do that???????
